At some point I think I have to start giving credit where due. I've seen Shanny's OFC up close and personal before so I thought they would improve in that area. but SF is way better on DEF than I expected.

I think almost as impressive is the total yardage numbers...in 3 of the 4 games so far, they have racked up 571, 446, 436 total yds...with 259, 168, and 275 respectively coming on the ground, the '9ers are stifling the competition, the game was not as close as the score in the Steeler game.

It will be interesting to see how they hold up as the season goes along, but right now they are one of the most impressive OFC/DEFs in the game today.

Duh...I thought I saw this post already!

All true....only thing I think needs to be added is Shanahan has been doing this forever while Kitchens has called plays for 13 games and been a HC for 5.

don't forget shanahan is 4-20 without Jimmy G as QB. Just sayin'.
Just saying what? Is your contention that in 14 games Garoppolo is the reason the Niners are winning?

It may be early, but he's done nothing but show me he's over his head in almost every capacity. His post game ramblings further sounded like a guy who doesn't have a grasp on how to go about fixing problems.

The dude gives me a 'I just got outta my 18 wheeler from a three day haul' vibe about him....

Word.

Browns finally go all out and get seemingly awesome talent and then hand the reins to some chubby trucker lookin fuck with rosacea. Such a Browns thing to do.

Also, the more Baker F Mayfield loses, the less I forgive him for that flag-planting nonsense at The Shoe. And his post-game presser was just retarded. "We know what we gotta do. We just have to be better." No shit, fuckball, but apparently you can't just clench your fists, close your eyes and wish it so.

Whew, somebody's triggered. I can just see your little fists pounding the keyboard in a spittle-flying rage as you wrote the above. Cracked me up.

I'm not sure how bad the Browns were, but they were bad.

For sure though, your boys looked good.

I'm looking forward to watching them play Seattle and the Rams now.

See if Bosa can chase the Wee One down and nail him.... Mayfield was like a sitting duck for him.

Nah..I'm sure it's just coincidence that he's 4-20 without him. Look, I get it. Missing a lot of other players last year, as well. Seems he is like many coaches...give him a lot of talent and he can be successful.

Why is every QB in the league called by their last name but 1?

Brady, Mahomes, Rodgers, Prescott, Cousins, Wee One......

Baker?

I hear plenty call him Dak. Also probably has to do with not being many Baker's or Dak's?

Yep...CLE is right in the midst of making this a meaningful season, but SEA and @ NE are not looking great at the moment...they could come into this home stand 2-5 or 3-4 most likely...then BUF, PIT, MIA at home. I think they need all 3 to win the DIV.

I could see them winning one out of the two between Seattle or New England

With Seattle it's iffy because Seattle wants to do the same things the 9ers just did but they just aren't quite as good as doing them as the 9ers. Seattle's main X-factor is RW but the Browns have a good pass rush and I would imagine they'll have their starting DBs back this week. It's a 10 am East Coast game for the Seahawks but the Seahawks are on a mini bye and the Browns are on the short week.

New England will be another interesting one if they can't get their offense going especially the running game. With the Browns pass rush Brady could take a beating if it turns into a game where he has to throw it a lot. But New England's defense is strong and we've seen how Baker folds under duress so New England's defense might be enough to win it for them.

Nobody really says Garoppolo and almost every calls him Jimmy G probably because you need to google last name to make sure you're spelling it right.

Play by play guys call him Garoppolo, idle conversation is another thing altogether.

There's truth to this, as well.......Callaway did Baker no favors on this throw either. Not perfect, but he sure didn't go all out for it.

The turning point in the game without a doubt...not saying they win but they have a shot. It's a 14-10 game, instead butterfingers not only drops it but hands it to the other team lolzz

Not my point. Play by play guys call him Baker as they call the play.

The rest get called by their last names.

No matter.
I hear ya...just some guys that are like that when first name more "catchy" or unique maybe? Not that he's on their level, but Lebron and Shaq also come to mind.
