They got away with Robinson at LT last year so they decided to go with him again, instead of bolstering that position. After getting 27 TDs last year, I guess I can't blame the average Brown's fan from thinking they finally got this position solved. But I'm with you...that second yr after everyone has a yr of tape on you is probably just as important as the rookie yr in some cases.

BOOM.

Game film is invaluable, especially for defenses to look at.

I am tired of people talking about Baker Mayfield like he is a star. He is a young QB who hasn’t done jack shit and might be a bust.
and he's also a young QB who set a rookie record for TDs (not sure I'd call that not doing jack shit) and is only in his second year. Not sure overreacting the other way is smart either.

It is......but I cannot lay all their issues on Baker. Last loss he was holding ball too long. Last night I thought was more on O-line. A lot of drops didn't help either and the INT off Callaway was a killer.

Nope...Baker has shown what he can do if given time, but the better teams are going to be forcing the issue, speeding up his clock. There were times last night when he probably could've gotten rid of the ball, but he was starting to pay attention to the pass rush.

It's never one player, agreed the pick of the Callway's hands was a killer. It took points and momentum away. These next handful of games will have a huge say in what the Browns ultimately do this season. SEA, Bye, @ NE, @ DEN, BUF, PIT

Yeah, over reacting either way on young QBs is always likely to backfire. Rarely do we know what these kids really are until at least year 3 or sometimes even longer. We are just starting to figure out what Goff, Wentz and Dak are or aren't and we aren't even sure of anything yet there. Even Mahomes, who is obviously a fantasic player, will still have some growing pains to work through. Mayfield needs to grow for sure but a lot of unknown there until management and coaching get his protection figured out.

you thinking last season after he played a handful of games
Partially Mayfield's fault there. Ball has to be further in front and higher. Bad throw.
in front and higher it might get tipped. Throw was where only his guy could get it.

Well, only his guy until he tipped it to the defense.

Thought before last night they had to beat SF or Seattle. Still feel that way.

I'm not sure how much it factors in his play but really wish someone could get through to him to just shut the hell up and play. don't worry about the critics.

No breaks in this game. Everyone is fucking up. Dropped a WIDE OPEN TD
Honestly cannot believe those saying this was eve a little on Baker. He had his struggles, sure, but this throw was where only his guy could get it and hit both hands.

Did Baker fuck all your mother's or something?

Not saying it was a great throw but any receiver should grab that.

Touch across the middle on a slant? You know that's coming in fast
Right...and throw it higher he gets clocked.

Honestly, when I saw the hilite this morning, I was thinking more if a bad bounce then anything. A lot like the Goff int vs. the Hawks on Thursday. Sometimes the ball just bounces funny. Maybe Mayfield could have thrown the ball a bit higher but the receiver could very well have been blown up on the play too. A throw just a hair off and the receiver not squeezing it, shit happens.

49ers are man handling the Browns pedestrian line on the run. Unless Cleveland scores a TD before half, it's over. 49ers get the ball in the 3rd and will just start running the ball and dinking/dunking with Kittle over the middle of the field.
which was a huge Kitchens mistake. Not why they lost, obviously, but there's a reason nearly every coach defers when they win the toss....especially against a tough D.

I think they need all 3 home games...SEA will be tough, but if they lose that one, they're staring 3 losses in a row in the face going to NE after the bye.

Yep..was it perfect? Nope. But an NFL WR needs to catch that ball. And if you throw it high the DB gets to clock him and try to get him to drop it.

All 3 home games? But agree lose that one and 2-5 looks inevitable.

4th time in 5 games Browns offense look like straight trash....unless they can turn it around in the 2nd half.

But this first half of the Browns season is going exactly how I thought.

3-5 through their first 8 would be good. 4-4 is amazing so don't get down Browns fans
Figured needed one of last night and Seattle. Not looking good, though. SF is tough no doubt, but Seattle presents similar challenges and a better QB.

This kind of shit is going to be magnified everytime because Baker is such an unlikeable douche.

I went back and watched the play and the receiver should have caught the ball. Sure the throw could have been slightly better, but I am not placing that on Baker.
