The Islanders are lucky if they get 12,000 fans per game anyway. At least the building won't look as empty. Time is running out. Brooklyn is Wang's last resort option. It's sad that it's come to this, but the political climate in L.I. & the financial situation of the country have made it virtually impossible for Wang to get a new arena built.

That's smaller than the MTS Centre (by about 500 seats). Meh, if they get enough corporate support, they'll be ok.

just looking at the 2011 ticket numbers ... for the Isles to go from 20th in average ticket price to 5th > theyd have to increase their average ticket price 39%

Yes but moving from an out dated dump of an arena to a new state of the art arena with easy access from Manahattan = crazy increase in price. It will become the cool trendy thing to go to the Barclays Center.
