I liked Otton but if Albert O goes down(again), Denver is left with very little explosive ability at the TE spot. Dulcich gives coverage for that, IMO.

I hated this pick but, just because I do. If he delivers results in games that's more important over my views. Go Broncos

At least we know where you stand.

The guy makes big plays - when you have a franchise QB you take more guys like this. IMO

Didn't love this pick and not because of the player, but Wilson really hasn't featured TE's over his career. Felt another position could have been addressed with that pick. That said, he has talent and from all accounts is a very hard worker.

When we traded Lock away it definitely occurred to me that we were getting rid of a problem. In retrospect I'm wondering about Fant, since he said in an interview that he felt like he wasn't being used to his potential. He kind of poo-pooed the short game. And it was kind of eye opening that Albert O and Saubert both looked pretty good in comparison.
I think Shurmur was our biggest problem.

The QB position was not great, but the OC didn’t do much to put players in position to succeed.

Sure, I get that. I was glad to see Shurmur go. Lots of problems with the O. But I was watching highlight videos of this guy and I really noticed him working hard to get open in the short and intermediate. I realized that I never really saw Fant doing that very much. And Fant had an interview where he was saying that he was dissatisfied with how he was used, mentioned the shorter game being not what he wanted to do.

This was the pick I wasn’t feeling, at all.

I saw that we did sign Saubert back again. Good stuff. I would include Beck with the RB's as a FB. That leaves AOK/Saubert/Dulcich then either Tomlinson or Beyer if we keep 4.

Nice analysis Listo - Good Bronco teams always have very good TEs. That will be one of the early litmus tests for how this offense will come together.

Hello - I am Mingo from the future: Everyone is going to really enjoy Dulcich - Eddie Mac is the best comparison I can think of from what I've seen in the future.

I could be wrong but I would fully expect Tomlinson to be a lock to make this roster barring anything huge changing with him or his game. He is by far our best blocking TE.

Even though Beck is technically a FB too it depends on how much we wanna use a FB if we want a roster spot for Beck as an H-back. Beyer could go on the PS again at worst. But I think he will give Beck and Saubert a run. Like I said in the other thread, Saubert is the best of the 3 on ST's. Beck and Beyer play special teams and are ok at it. All 3 fill different roles. Beyer and Saubert are somewhat similar to me at the TE position.
