Okay - he doesn't need a sports psychologist - just someone who can tell him to squeeze his fingers on the ball as it whistles through his hands. Nix is looking after him -though. I'd like Tez Johnson on the Broncos.

I don't think he needs a sports psychologist. He just needs to stop overthinking. There is some hesitation to his game at times. It happens for a lot of rookies that struggle year 1 then year 2 emerge because they feel much more prepared for the system and NFL speed. It is why I thiunk a lot of people were hoping he would get a red shirt year then emerge next season. He has had to step up because of the Reynolds injury and just lack of production from other WR's though.

Agree. Franklin needs the game to slow down a bit for him just like any other rookie. He gets open very well and that is a huge step.. Now we need the concentratio on the deep passes. He should have caught the two deep passes this year but they also weren't "gimme" catches, if he catches 1 out of the 2 I think people are good with it. Now that he dropped both people will be dramatic about it. Both drops came at a time when we were beating our opponent pretty well so neither hurt us at least. You can tell he is about to take off... I also think Mims may play a larger role against teams like the Ravens and Chiefs where we may have to pull more out of the bag against those teams.

He’s a 4th round pick in his rookie year so the drops are ok for now. Now if we‘re in year 3 and he’s still having these issues we have a problem.

We got rid of Jeudy because he couldn’t figure it out and he was a first round pick, we would no issue doing this with a 4th rounder

Honestly, got rid of Jeudy because he wasn't worth the 13m or whatever on the final year of his contract with the Wilson contract really handicapping us financially in the offseason. The money had to come from somewhere. Simmons and Jeudy made the most sense to part ways with to free up spending money. IF Jeudy would have cost less we would have kept him. But yeah obviously Franklin can't drop a ton of passes and expect to be here long term. That goes without saying... However, even top notch WR's drop a fair share of passes. Terrell Owens, Brandon Marshall, Dwayne Bowe, etc.... Getting open and production is going to subside a lot of the drops REALLY good WR's have. Obviously if you aren't producing and you drop a lot of passes then you will hit the road... (See Darius Watts) but if you can catch everything and get no separation you aren't going to last long either (see Nate Jackson)...

A Nate Jackson reference is worth noting.

It actually wasn’t though. Could he have caught it? Of course! Easy? Not at all easy.

Interesting about your aunt having nuts though.

It was a tough catch for sure, but there is a point when if you don't bring in any of those deep shots you stop being the guy they turn to in those situations for the big play. He is a rookie and we only have a very small sample size so he can definitely reverse the narrative pretty quickly.

Yep. Again, he should have caught it but it wasn’t “easy”.

It gets much easier but again, he should have caught it. If you ever played the WR position you know this isn’t the easiest catch. Having to worry more about catching up to the ball while it is still behind you with your head in front of the ball most of the time it is in the air while sprawling out. Evan Nix and Payton chalked this one up on Nix while at the same time I would imagine knowing he should have caught it but not easy.I had a good view of this pass in your seats btw. Got all excited thinking I was gonna see Franklin’s first td.

The other one he dropped was way easier than this one but should have caught both.
