The biggest loses over the last two seasons the Broncos were outclassed, out coached and out hustled. They had no fire yesterday and the same in the SB. I think they're way too professional and need some players and coaches with fire and emotion.

I think that's pretty significant in that it signals to whoever the next HC and OC are they need to be prepared to have Manning as the QB, since I suspect that a new coaching staff will be hired before Manning decides whether or not to play again.

I will keep saying this but I think Kubiak as Head Coach sounds pretty darn good to me. Then either get a guy like Jim Schwartz or the old Cowboys coach Wade Phillips sounds like a good one as well. I'm more leaning towards Schwartz because he loves the aggressive style of defense that we see out of teams like Seattle. I think that would be a great combination. Plus Schwartz has an edge about him and is a pretty fired up guy so I think he is one that could get this team pretty fired up when we need to be in a big game.

I hope not. I still have bad memories from another young offensive coordinator getting promoted too quickly.

Where do you read this stuff? Yes he is getting an interview but so are like 5 other guys. Right now I would say the front runners have to be Austin and Kubiak.

They are willing to let Gase walk? Figures...just wish they didn't have to poach the Ravens. It would be nice to have a little continuity for once.

I'm not saying they are willing to let him walk. I'm asking where in the world did he see that it looks like Gase is our next HC? I honestly wouldn't mind Gase staying as our OC. Not sure I like him as a HC at this time as I still think he needs another couple of years in the league to learn. Kind of like when McDaniels came here I honestly do think that someday he could be a decent coach. When he came to Denver though he just wasn't ready and honestly the Broncos were just not very smart in how they handled that whole situation as they essentially let him be both coach and GM when he had never been either. So to me what I would love to see is that of Austin brought in as HC, maybe bring in Schwartz or Ted Monachino (one of your guys) to play DC and then just go ahead and keep Gase as OC. I think Gase would be great for both Manning or Osweiler since he has worked with them the longest so either way our quarterback position would go then we would be fine.

Honestly if we bring in Kubiak it only happens if Manning is retiring. Manning is about the worst quarterback in the league to run his offensive system so I think that first year if Manning comes back would be a disaster waiting to happen. Osweiler though might fit his system perfectly. I honestly see a lot of Jake Plummer in that of Osweiler.

If Gase doesn't get the HC job, he's most likely walking, right? I know for sure Dennison will be the OC if Kubiak is the HC. Any HC is going to want his own staff.

Not so fast...The guy interviewing tomorrow is that of Terel Austin. He has said that wherever he coaches he wants Gase to be his OC. It has actually been one of his big selling points and possibly one of the reasons that Gase actually turned down the 49ers job as being reported today. So if Austin gets hired here in Denver then my guess is he would want Gase to stay on. Throw in I don't think Elway has any problem with Gase. Everything I have heard is the two of them have gotten along really well. In fact the issue was more that Elway, Manning, and Gase all 3 were butting heads with Fox throughout this season.

Now yes if Kubiak comes to town then I could see Gase gone. It really does depend who we hire as the HC this season.

Well...I'm rooting very hard Austin (or anyone but Kubiak) to win out.

Right now I'm a little torn between Kubiak and Austin. I would probably rather have Austin but at the same time I see a lot of similarities in the players we have that would fit well with a Kubiak type system. Osweiler actually moves pretty darn well in the pocket and has the big arm to make the deep throws off the bootleg plays. Throw in I think Ball, Thompson, and Anderson all fit the zone blocking scheme pretty darn well with the one cut and go and all 3 are actually pretty good at hitting the edge.
