Latest mock I've seen has us taking Drew Lock.

Mock drafts have very rarely been correct on the Broncos pick, and this early it is a complete crap shoot.

Everything will be considered according to Elway

Is it time to trade Von say to Sf for a Swap of 1st rounders in 2019 and a 2nd in 2020.

Not quite Mack like but moves Denver up to #2

I would think any trade of Von would have to include pick in the top 10.

A guy that could become a steal in the later rounds: QB Easton Stick, North Dakota State.

6'2, 220 lbs. Not an overly strong arm, but he's accurate and has mobility. Some talking head on Twitter seems to think he's the best "under the center" QB prospect coming into the draft. I'm guessing that means the best QB with his hands under the center's ass. Likely needs a couple of years to develop but he's an exciting player to watch.

All joking aside I never watched him, Carson. He could be great for all I know .

Yeah. Lock is not a favorite of many on this board.

I have 2 trains of thought on the draft at this point without doing a lot of research.

I would like to take the BPA at 10. I doubt at 10 we see a QB taken.

Then trade back up into the end to the 1st round for Jones or another QB that we like. Other option is to look for a solid backup with higher potential this draft with Stick, or Ripen on day 2 or 3 of the draft.

The one thing that I could be convinced otherwise would be if a QB we liked unexpectedly drops like Chubb did last year and trade up a few places to get them. If Haskins is our favorite and is sitting there at 7 how do we not make every attempt to move up.

2020 seems like the safer year to draft a QB based on what I have heard and read.

This guy has a real NFL arm . His Uncle was pretty good as well.

At this point, you can get him my guess 2nd round.

My problem with him he goes dry for an entire game a little too much for my liking

Duke quarterback Daniel Jones declares for the NFL draft. Many think he'll be a round 1 pick. Kinda fits the Elway mold. Any thoughts on him?

We've talked about Jones quite a bit in here this college season.

Like him, not in love with him, but could be eventually. He puts up good numbers, little inconsistent, has some durability questions but won't run half as much as he did in college. Very tough guy. Broke his collarbone this year and came back SUPER almost freakish fast from it. Smart guy. Not sold he can be great, but convinced he can be good.

I don't see Rypien as a round 2 guy.. Like him a bit, don't love him. He has good tools. Just inconsistent, a lot of developing to do still. He could be someone Elway falls in love with but I don't know that we can ever develop QB's so I have little faith right now.

He was invited to the shrine bowl, not he SR bowl so that tells me he isn't viewed as a top QB in this draft. I will have to check his latest national grade out. Right now I have him pegged as potential day 3 pick.

Guys like Ryan Finley, Brian Lewerke will likely hear their names called ahead of him.
Finley is one of the most interesting QB's to me this year. One week he plays like a top 15 talent with all the tools he shows then the next week he plays like a rd 6 pick.

Mock draft are rarely correct in general.

They use to be fun to look at back in the day, now there are so many that they aren't even fun to look at. I remember when I was in HS I'd die to see a mock draft. Thought it was the most fun thing in the world. Now you have so many wannabe draft people out there that they really lost their taste.

Stick is ok to me. He isn't special to me.

He is a very safe QB, doesn't risk much, has mobility, productive... Just not sure he has the upside to be a great NFL QB. He reminds me a bit of Jeff Garcia is how I see his upside in the NFL..

Might bounce around a bit start here and there. Backup, start, backup, start.. Roll around the league a bit as a safe QB who can win with a good run game and defense, but not really win games on his own and anymore in the NFL that gives you a chance to survive in the NFL as a QB.

This QB class is not elite by any means but I will say it again, it does have some depth to it. You may not see many great QB's from this class, but you may see some solid guys who have a similar career to Stick.

I like Washington QB Jake Browning less and less when I watch him play.

Out of sick, morbid curiosity I googled a number of them this morning. People have us taking Greedy, Lock, Jones, a FS from FSU, and half a dozen other people. They have Jones going in round 3, and Jones a top 10 pick. Same for Lock.

Without the benefit of the combine and Sr. bowl games, everything right now is a crap shoot. All I know is the draft and combine coverage won't be the same now that I have to hate Mayock.

I never did care for Mayock as an analyst.

When do the Raiders hire Al Michaels for QB coach and Collinsworth for o cord?

Rumor has it that Mel Kiper is interviewing for the "Pass Rush Specialist/Assistant Head Coach" position

Oh dear lord, we arent trading Vonn. His cap number alone prohibits most of the league from being interested.

Doesn’t take the whole league
San Fran offered more for Mack than any other team last year a fail by chucky . San Fran and NYJ are said to have interest
Plus Vonn is skier. Obviously cant trade a skier

That's true. But you're comparing the Mack deal to Vonn, and Vonn's contract is worth 28 million cap hit as of today. Mack was still on his rookie contract, and his cap hit was only a third of that this past year, the last year of his rookie deal.

That is why we'll get very little, from very few in a trade for him.
