Total defense is yards no?

Stop being obtuse and cherry picking your stats to fit your warped sense logic, Chris.

There, is that more clear?

Opinion. You have no idea what Elway is willing to pay after 3 years of suck.

Obviously opinion. How could I claim it as a fact when it hasn’t happened yet? It’s a discussion.

I would not phrase an opinion in absolute terms

I doubt denver will be able to move that high not Denver wont be able to move that high.

Not warped just sound logic

3 out of 4 primary defensive stats is not cherry picking
In this today’s offensive minded NFL
yards is stupid to judge a defense by.

Every other play is a hold on a passing play to give the offense another set of downs.

I imagine most people used common sense.

I’m never gonna win the lottery. (Opinion) but most likely true.

Easy to grasp!

I was impressed with Duke’s QB Jones today. First time I watched him and like how he handled the game. Since we are in the market, someone I want to see more of.

Jones tore apart a terrible Temple D. Can’t fault him for that. I am not sold though nor do I dislike him. I do like his mobility and he generally makes good decisions. Just not sure his upside is as big as others but maybe we need to go a bit more safe.

I'm thinking Brock had the highest upside and Elway missed on Wilson, Cousins and Foles.

Keenum doesn't not know how to read a defense , his arm cant beat a cover two and his anticipation is terrible.

I'd take a QB who is an anticipation thrower and can read a defense.

Next year QBs could go 1-2-3 so would really have to be the worst team not have to pay huge to move up in 2020

All different kinds of ways to be a good QB. Great arms like Elway and Favre. Weak arms like Brady and Manning. At this point I take brains over potential w strong arms.

I am hoping we don’t force drafting a QB. With Brock and Lynch it felt like it was forced to me.

If Haskins or Herbert don’t come out then I hope we draft a QB when the value is there. Next year maybe push the issue. If we draft a QB this year that is not Haskins or Herbert I would hope it is a backup with potential ceiling to be a starter. I think there are a few guys that could fit this role.

I wouldn’t be opposed to restructuring Keenum’s contract to be through 2021 and a total of $30 million. Maybe even through 2022. This provides some flexibility and a safety net in case a rookie QB isn’t prepared to start right away and to be a mentor to a rookie.

Overall we need to find another ILB, CB depending on FA, NT, RT, and WR in addition to a QB.

Lynch Definitely felt forced. But given our QB’s at the time that was something we almost had ti push the button on. (AQB). Osweiler Definitely did not feel forced to me. We had just signed Manning.

Really it comes down to are you willing to trade 19 #1 and 20 #1 to SF for Haskins? or would you rather trade up in 2020?

I love Haskins, so I'd say YES

Look at the trade Philly made for Wentz - they were criticized to no end for that ... Granted, Wentz did not light it up this year after the injury, but Philly made the right moves to get him ( and a lot of other moves, as Howie Roseman has done some great work )

I like Haskins better than Tua ... and I fear drafting Lock

Get Haskins and go from there

Who are we gonna trade for? Nate Sudfeld?

Wentz is their long term. Foles will be an UFa unless the Eagles pick up his 20 mil dollar option which would be insane for a backup QB.

I can't see us getting Foles with his likely price tag, and giving up on Case at 18 million. Right now for a starting NFL qb that isn't under a rookie contract, that's a damn steal.

We have plenty of other holes to address without reaching on a qb early that may or may not be worth the risk. I'd rather plan for 2020 to grab our QBOTF, which is lining up to be a very strong and deep qb year.
