THRILLHO
not picking on you, I swearIt sure would help them save face if Lance were to play well next season.
why do you think they have lost face?
not picking on you, I swearIt sure would help them save face if Lance were to play well next season.
Yes. For every Brady, there's a dozen Trent Dilfer'sI said it was a possibility, not a certainty, before his injury. Did you know that a player can be a long term QB for an NFL team without being Tom Brady?
to be clear, I wasn't saying Purdy was going to be a HOFer.Yes. For every Brady, there's a dozen Trent Dilfer's
Some people think he showed enough in those 8-9 games to be a starter in the right offense.to be clear, I wasn't saying Purdy was going to be a HOFer.
I meant I don't think he was ever going to jump in and take over the team for years to come just because of injuries (like Brady did)
He still needed to earn the position over Lance in 2023.
he showed promise, but I don't think he is exactly what I would call a lock. Some people think he showed enough in those 8-9 games to be a starter in the right offense.
Everybody seems to have an opinion on Purdy. I'm hoping it was not a complete tear and can be repaired instead of reconstructed.
Oh, of course, especially once they got McCaffreybut in that offense, it's hard not to be productive.
100%Oh, of course, especially once they got McCaffrey
I don't think so either.Everybody seems to have an opinion on Purdy. I'm hoping it was not a complete tear and can be repaired instead of reconstructed.
If he does need reconstruction (known when the open him up) Many pitchers have come back stronger after the reconstruction!
Young baseball pitchers are getting Tommy John surgery they don't need to improve their chances!
It's not over for Purdy.....
He played pretty consistently, and made few mistakes. Sunday was the first fumble he committed all season, and I think he only threw 2 picks. When you don't ask a QB to do too much, you get better results.100%
wanna talk about system QB...
I'm seeing a lot of negative from Philly posters.I don't think so either.
but to me, he isn't anything different than Heineke on Washington...it's just SF had more/better weapons
Wait, what?I'm seeing a lot of negative from Philly posters.
I thnk that you guys have suddenly become smarter than the world, now that your team is doing well.
Can't imagine why Eagles posters are so uniformly ridiculed?
again, I don't think they really played anyone either...they had pretty soft second half of the seasonHe played pretty consistently, and made few mistakes. Sunday was the first fumble he committed all season, and I think he only threw 2 picks. When you don't ask a QB to do too much, you get better results.
I'm just not ready to crown Purdy as the second coming. The only reason he started is because the two guys ahead of him got hurt.I'm seeing a lot of negative from Philly posters.
I thnk that you guys have suddenly become smarter than the world, now that your team is doing well.
Can't imagine why Eagles posters are so uniformly ridiculed?
As a point of note, people have had irrational sports hate for Philadelphia for most of our lives. People threw snowballs at Santa 50 years ago and we still hear about it every time some lazy media bastard has to do a story on Philadelphia sports. So over time…we just collectively decided to lean into that shit.I'm seeing a lot of negative from Philly posters.

Right...it's not like there are professionals on the other sideagain, I don't think they really played anyone either...they had pretty soft second half of the season
I'm not saying there weren't.Right...it's not like there are professionals on the other side
The "they didn't play anybody" stuff only applies to the Philadelphia Eagles. It's regulations.I'm not saying there weren't.
I just think he was plugged into a team that had all the weapons to make their QB successful and they played a pretty light schedule.
that is the recipe for Purdy's success.
same for their defense...they didn't really face anyone yet they were considered the best D...until they ran into the Eagles.
Congrats. As a point of note, people have had irrational sports hate for Philadelphia for most of our lives
