I knew I'd get mad if I watched yesterday, son was shining, kids were glued to the xbox so we went for a 3 mile hike at the nature center. at least I got to watch some of the dal/nyg and denver games (although my wife got annoyed that I was watching walking dead on the laptop while simultaneously watching the game and changed the channel for a bit, lol)

Agreed.

And Fantasy Football makes teams that you would normally not care about 100% more relavent than, say, 15-20 years ago.

I used to hate Mondays' after a Bengals loss. Especially when I had season tickets from 2002-2006. Gave 'em up after 2006, and the following year I followed a buddy of mine's approach: Bengals sober. He completely gave them up (thus sober), but I root for them, I'll follow them, but I give up the living and dying with each game. No more yelling at the TV. Not more being miserable at 4:10pm on Sunday and most of Monday reading the sports sections/sites.

Don't get me wrong...I want them to do well, I'll watch, but now it's with a different angle. I just don't get fired up about them anymore. Maybe that's why when I talk about Lewis as Coach, or things not changing, and players like MJ being allowed to leave, I just don't get worked up. It is, exactly, what it is. Bengal Football. For better or worse (and mostly worse).

Truth be told, this may be the best approach possible when it comes to being a fan of this team. It would certainly lengthen everyone's life span.

I hate fantasy football...... I like watching the other games in the league, but they are just background to whenever the Bengals play. I've had a problem (Bengal watching) for 3 decades and counting. I probably won't quit. It will probably kill me.

Think of how great life could be if they would have just left in the 90s. We'd probably all be Colt fans. That would be nice.

I'd love to be a Colt fan right now. Fuck.

No shit. They had one lousy season. And even when they were in the middle of that lousy season they were guaranteed to get a healthy Manning back on the roster or the best prospect to reach the NFL draft in over a decade.

Hell, even when they weren't great in the 90s, they still threw out a magical 96 season that should have ended in a Super Bowl, had that receiver held onto the miracle hail mary.

They have a nice stadium and Indy is an underrated city to hang out.

We're really missing out.

good thing about the NFL, there's always something to watch. like manning breaking a record... or something like that.

Could you even imagine Manning's record had he not got hurt and sat out an entire season, and then continue to add the next 2 to 3 years on to his career? Possibly could be unbreakable even with the softening rules for offenses.

I probably would never have suffered two heart attacks and a stroke if I wasn't a Cincinnati sports fan.......

this was kind of funny...

Seriously. Seriously. Could the Bengals have played any worse? If you closed your eyes and turned the volume off Sunday, you might've sworn David Klingler was out there for Cincy, missing throws to a wide open Harold Green and Jeff Query, while on defense, Dan Wilkinson and Keith Rucker were failing to get to the opposing quarterback. #throwbackSunday #90s Bengalsdom
