Brandon Webb walked into the clubhouse and said to Ron Washington "I'm ready to go if needed". The Rangers skipper gave Brandon Webb an incredulous look and asked him if he was serious. Webb, the 32 year old righty was signed by Rangers General Manager Jon Daniels in the off-season. The investment has proven to be a disappointment, but it can be salvaged with a strong outing from Webb. Webb appears to be just as amazed as his teammates at his miraculous recovery and can't wait to get out on the field. The rangers right hander has a career 3-4 record against St. Louis with 35 strikeouts. Ron Washington has already given him game 4 in replace of the struggling Derek Holland. Upon hearing the news, Derek Holland almost punched a hole in the St. Louis coke machine. Holland had to be restrained by veteran catcher Yorvit Torrealba. The addition of Webb to the postseason roster will give the Rangers some national league experience, the 2-man battery of Torrealba and Webb look to baffle St.Louis hitters with many strikeouts and very few runs.
