Far from it. In fact, the one thing that actually really does suck about the ruling is that, for example, MAC schools can't come to the OSU camps to scout kids. Obviously not every kid that camps there will earn an OSU offer, and coaches from all over in the MAC have come to Columbus regularly to check things out. Now, they're not going to have that option.

And USC and Alabama draw top recruits from around the country without satellite camps because? If the camps are for the kids why are you using them as a recruiting tool. Instead of what the camps are intended for. Why not recruit the right way like respectable programs?

Not that I expect anyone to have a rational discussion or make a valid point, but I've been listening to XM College Sports all day at work, and most everyone has said the satellite camp ruling was dumb, including Alabama's own Greg McElroy. Andy Staples from Sports Illustrated said the conferences outside of the SEC and ACC that voted against it are either a) corrupt, b) stupid, or c) both.

SC got a top Oline recruit out of Georgia, A wr out of Alabama and had no problems recruiting other "recruiting turfs" around the nation. No satellite camps, no sleep overs, no complaints......

Where's the outrage?

UM signed the #1 nationally from NJ, #39 nationally from Wisconsin, #65 and #75 nationally from California and #61 nationally from Indiana.

My count is 5 players ranked higher than anyone USC brought in from outside their own state. Don't think USC and Alabama should ever be used in the same sentence speaking about recruiting.
