Braun for Harvey/Lawrie

This is a roto league normal 5x5 i need bats he needs pitching

Harvey is off to great start but i heard he will be on an innings limit and lawrie is nothing special so far

Assuming you can cover Lawrie....
Could you get more for Harvey at this moment? Maybe
Is he worth more for this year? Likely you're getting a solid return

yes its for this year only no keepers have longo at 3rd plus gain a roster spot so it can be for any position

I was scratching my head waiting for the catch as well.....The only way I pause for more then 2 seconds before hitting accept is if there is some secret undisclosed info that Braun will be suspended for 50 games.....

Even if in a keeper situation, Harvey has had a great start and COULD be a stud pitcher for years.....Braun is 29 and is a TOP 3 fantasy player every year......This one doesn't need much analysis IMHO.....

I think Braun is a top 10 guy now... but that's a cool discussion point.
Harvey acting like a top 5 SP
Throw in a high upside premium position guy and it's conceivable you could do better.
I like it though...absolutely

I never trust a rookie before he hits the rookie wall... if he doesnt hit it this year then i expect it next year... A player who never sees failure can not be successful...

2 other things to be careful with Harvey about

1. he plays for the mets- can a rookie be great all season for a terrible team??

2. Pitching limits- this is his rookie season can he pitch deep into the season and can he pitch enough innings to remain elite??

Braun is too good, and too safe not to make the deal... And it does not even matter who your replacement third baseman will be...

Braun is too good, and too safe not to make the deal... And it does not even matter who your replacement third baseman will be...

1. Mark Fidrych with the '76 Tigers, but it pretty much cost him his arm and his career, so...not a great example.

2. That is the big question. I don't see that happening.

Don't really know what I was thinking, 'cuz yeah...it's a no-brainer.

This is a no brainer. I just traded Braun and some underachieving pieces to Chef for Harvey, Marte and Headley.

That deal was close. This one isn't. Lawrie is easily replaceable and Harvey is nowhere near as valuable as Braun despite the amazing start.

Using my always perfect 20/20 hindsight, I realize I dropped the wrong underachieving piece. Melky is proving me wrong, and Princess Morrow is proving you right. The only reason i'm holding onto him at this point is that i'm hoping he has some sort of miraculous turnaround.

My team can survive without Melky, but man, my pitching has gone from stellar to crap in a hurry.
