You better hope Brady is as innocent as he has said. I mean he is being dragged through the mud now, so I imagine him fighting as hard as he is, he has to 100% clean. If he is not, well that suspension is going to be a lot longer than 4 games, and your career is toast and looked at a cheater for 15yrs. It is bad enough he is dragged into BB mess of spygate.

I can understand the NFL suspending him 4 games for what they "think" happened, that will all come out at some point. My thought is, Roger needs to see this over cause anyone with half a brain can see this report is BS and that the punishment does not fit the crime that has not been proven. Roger needs this to stick, and he will. I bet my life he will not change the 4 games. This is going to court.

I want the 1st rd pick back, and I hope Kraft goes after them for this.

I agree heading to court. He lost in court on the Rice suspension and the AP suspension. He's going to lose this one and he'll also lose the Greg Hardy suspension since Goofdell used guidelines not in effect at the time of Hardy's arrest.

I was surprised when Kraft bowed out. I am inclined to believe the other 31 owners persuaded him. Brady is another case altogether. He (and the NFLPA) are still fighting. Rumors are floating out there now that Goodell is trying to reach a compromise before an appeal is scheduled, which is why it is taking so long. The number of 2 games is the most often heard scenario. If TB and the NFLPA turns that down (as I suspect they will), I don't see Goodell dropping it to 1 game or 0 games. One thing though, Goodell, IMHO, is absolutely going to fight and avoid having this go to the courts. If it does, chances are he loses everything, maybe even the Patriots' penalties. Based on what we know now about this whole affair, there are several scenarios as to what actually hppened here. My favorite is that, after being informed by the Colts of potential ball deflation by the Patriots, the NFL set up a sting operation to catch them in the act. This is butressed by the fact that the NFL did not inform the Patriots about this accusation before the game. At halftime, the trap was sprung and the footballs confiscated for testing. As they hoped, the Patriots balls were all underinflated (except for one). Then they tested the Colts balls and, lo and behold, several of them came up low as well. Therefore, the testing of Colts balls was terminated. The excuse that there wasn't enough time to test them all doesn't pass the smell test. There were enough properly inflated balls to start the second half and some official not directly involved on the field could have continued to test the rest of the Colts footballs. In order to cover up the botched sting operation, Goodell hired Ted Wells to build up a case against the Patriots in general and Tom Brady in particular. Even after several weeks, Wells could not come up with a smoking gun or any hard evidence, so he constructed a predetermined conclusion based on cherry-picked facts gleaned from his investigation, ignoring any facts that disputed that conclusion. If Tom Brady's case winds up in court, it is (to coin a phrase from the Wells Report) more probable than not, that all penalties will be thrown out.

Amazing four officials couldn't check 24 balls in 13 minutes. Yet one guy coukd deflate 11 in under 100 seconds:noidea:

My guess is that the owners start to get a bit queasy if Goodell decides to stand his ground and hold the suspension to 4 games. Once this gets to Federal Court and it is going to Federal Court.....the gloves come off and the plantiff will start to hang dirty laundry on the line. Everyone is fair game and after 15 years in the NFL, I'm sure Brady has more than a teaspoon full of mud. I think the owners will tell Goodell to drop the suspensiuon to one game, but I don't think Brday will accept it and then we'll see who has the biggest balls.

Here's how I think this may play out.......

Goodell says 4 games.
Brady files suit in Federal Court.
Owners tell Goodell one game.
Goodell drops to 1 game.
Brady refuses.
All is quiet for three to four weeks.
Brady seeks an injunction to stop the season until the case is over.
Federal Judge considers the injunction.

NFL announces that Brady is innocent of any wrong doing regarding the actual footballs but is fined $500,000 for not fully cooperating with the Wells investigation. Suspension is revoked.

Brady says Fuck You and takes the NFL to court.

Goodell announces that the fine is revoked.

2015 starts.........SportsHoopla trolls still call Brady a cheater until 2027.

With the over inflation goings-on, I would not be surprised that the sting included certain NFL exec's with an agenda tampering with the balls. If Brady said anything that could be construed as instructions to the ball guys, even if he said to deflate to 12.6 psi, he would be guilty of breaking the rules.I would be really surprised if Brady was "innocent" I'd be happy with "not guilty as charged."....
