That is unless there is, or somebody comes forward in the next weeks ahead, that has damaging info out there. If the price is right, somebody could very well blow this situation competely out of the water. I would bide my time and wait till this is all said and done before I set myself up for huge can of humility thrown in my face. Alot of stuff can and prob will come out before this is anywhere close to an actual appeal hearing. Should be no dull moments Gents.

Keep praying Randy......

Decision was made based on evidence gathered by Wells. They can't go back out and try to "find" new information. We're in the appeal process not the investigation. What would that say about Wells and his investigation?

:) True BK but it wouldn`t be the first time damaging info could come out before an appeal is heard. Lets just say for instance the ball boy decides to sell a story to espn for a couple mil where he admits to tampering with ball for last 5yrs during reg season as well. That wouldn`t bode well before a hearing. Just an example ya know BK:)

If Brady was innocent, he would be taking the steps he's taking now - and if they go to court, I'd be pretty confident he's innocent. If they settle during the appeal, I think that would indicate some degree of culpability. It sure looks like he going hard after the league hard - if not, it's a hell of a bluff.

Brady did look Kraft in the eye and told he had no orders for them to deflate the ball, so Kraft believes him.

Guess we'll find out.

Agree, if Brady was not innocent and there was info out there, either on his phone or the ballgirls phone, this would have ended a long time ago. If there is more evidence that TB did lie, he is done, over, not sure he is a HOF anymore, it could be that bad. Worse case he appeals and hopes it changes, he would not take this to court if there was something out there. The innocent ones are the quiet ones who let things play out. Have not heard from TB at all.

Love how peeps want TB12 to come clean, LOL. If he did not do anything, why would he have to come clean. Its not like TB has cried "wolf" in the past. If you were innocent, would you just admit to something you didn't do? Ya, didn't think so. Haters want TB to come out and admit this, it's their only hope, and that is fading fast.

Many of the so-called haters on here are enjoying themselves. Most will not admit it but they all know the reports findings are bullshit. This isn't stopping any time soon. As long as the Patriots dynasty continues, this will continue.....

At this point, if Goodell doesn't vacate the suspension altogether (which is about as likely as me flapping my arms really hard and flying) Brady is going to court. He's all in on this. As for Kraft, I think at the very least, he appeals the punishment, which will get heard by, guess who? From there, I would say if the NFL doesn't return the first round pick, it's about 50-50 he goes Al Davis on the NFL.

I really have to shake my head. It should have been very simple. It's the air pressure in a football for crying out loud. Now it's literally become a federal case. The Pats are not blameless is the escalation of this whole matter. Kraft should never have demanded an apology from the NFL. After Belichick's "Mona Lisa Vito" presentation, Kraft should have shut up and not said anything. Maybe we'd still be in the same situation we are now, but that certainly didn't help.

Oh, and did I mention: THE WHOLE THINK IS ABOUT FUCKING AIR PRESSURE!!!!!!!!!!!:L

Before Deflategate, I don't think one fan ever thought about or wonder what the air pressure of the footballs are.

Absolutely. If the NFL cared they would have recognized that the air pressure will vary more than the tolerance they mandated. So are they now going to gauge and document every football that goes on the field?
I would expect that and nothing less. You know in racing - tire pressures are set by weather conditions. That is what the NFL should have allowed, in hind-sight. Now? Going to be a pain.
Teams are going to be responsible for air pressures in footballs they cannot control?
I'm glad Indy recognized this and kept a needle and gauge on the sideline.....

There has been a lot of talk on this site about Patriot haters. Being a diehard Red Sox fan and, therefore, a Yankee hater, I know exactly how they feel. The Yankees have always been viewed as arrogant winners by Sox fans. Patriot haters feel the same way. That being said, Goody is in a really tight spot now. The NFLPA has announced plans to call him as a witness. I am not a legal scholar, but judging a case in which you are a prime witness sure sounds like conflict of interest to me. As others have said, if Brady is not innocent, he probably should have settled a long time ago and put this all behind him. Right now, there are a lot of big egos bumping up against each other. Whenever this happens, truth is usually one of the first victims. Somebody is going to have to put aside their ego and try to put a fair end to this whole affair. It has gone on much longer than it ever should have. Goody has the first chance to do this when hearing the appeal. If he fumbles (or deflates) the ball, this case will wind up in the real Courts where I don't think anyone really wants it to be.

True. However, how many athletes have been accused of something, denied it, fought it as hard as they could and they are found to be lying ass cheats. This is why I haven't come to Brady's defense. I'm waiting for everything to play out and hope my favorite QB is cleared.

Yes thank you for Indy. They have saved football for the entire world. Or maybe they destroyed?

.......pretty soon they'll outlaw "spiking" the ball in the endzone........isn't that why they spike the ball/too.....?!

When I opened SportsHoopla about 5 minutes ago, I saw a thread in the main forum.....Headline read.......
Investigator Says He Has Direct Evidence That Brady is Guilty.............per Yahoo

I didn't open it because there are several things at issue.

1. If an investigator had direct evidence of anything, Wells would have put it in the report.
2. If an investigator had any knowledge and failed to turn it over to Wells or the NFL, the Wells Report would be fraudulent.
3. Any investigator who didn't turn evidence over to Wells would most likely be sued by Wells and his law firm for making Wells look worse than is necessary and publicly embarrassing him and Goodell.

I havent posted much on this either,i feel if brady is innocent, then who is guilty (BB)& if goodell is removed then i would assume the first priority for the new boss is to NOT be bobby's bestie.this is a lose/lose situation

Per Steve Balesteri of Patsfans.com 5/17/2014

Deflate-gate Going to Goodell for the Appeal: With Tom Brady retaining Jeffrey Kessler and having the backing of the NFLPA, the four-game suspension is heading to the appeal process, with Commissioner Roger Goodell presiding.

Goodell, far from an independent arbitrator and Troy Vincent were included in the NFLPA’s appeal letter, stating that Vincent, according to the 2011 CBA doesn’t have the authority to hand out Brady’s punishment, that the NFLPA was seeking to have Brady’s suspension rescinded not reduced and that the Wells Report contained insufficient evidence to find Brady of any wrongdoing.

The NFLPA asked for Goodell to recuse himself and appoint a truly independent arbitrator and stated that they planned to call both as witnesses. ESPN reported that it was “very unlikely” that Goodell steps aside. And with Brady unlikely to accept any reduction in suspension, even if one is forth coming, this case appears headed for court which will be a lose-lose for everyone involved.

I still think the best way to attack this is, that the vast majority of the balls were within range of prediction according to the ideal gas law... according to the gauge used and the best recollection of Walt Anderson. Once that gets established, nothing else matters as there is no infraction to be punished.

Patriots could and should appeal on this alone - and limit it to this.

Looks like Florio has come to the same conclusion.

You better hope Brady is as innocent as he has said. I mean he is being dragged through the mud now, so I imagine him fighting as hard as he is, he has to 100% clean. If he is not, well that suspension is going to be a lot longer than 4 games, and your career is toast and looked at a cheater for 15yrs. It is bad enough he is dragged into BB mess of spygate.

I can understand the NFL suspending him 4 games for what they "think" happened, that will all come out at some point. My thought is, Roger needs to see this over cause anyone with half a brain can see this report is BS and that the punishment does not fit the crime that has not been proven. Roger needs this to stick, and he will. I bet my life he will not change the 4 games. This is going to court.

I want the 1st rd pick back, and I hope Kraft goes after them for this.
