Tom Brady's agent stated last night that Brady will appeal his suspension before the Thursday afternoon deadline.

Troy Vincent stated yesterday that the penalties handed out were for repeated transgressions.

This should be fun when Brady's attorney asks for all of Brady's previous rule infractions.

Legal professor from Northeastern University stated on Fox News that the NFL has opened it's door to a huge lawsuit. They asked him if that would leave Brady in the position of turning over his cell phone. He answered DIRECTLY..."No". The penalties were assessed based on information obtained between January 1, 2015 and May 11, 2015.

No court, no arbitrator would ever sanction penalties for an act that was previously punished, so handing out the fine and loss of draft picks was egregious just on that basis alone if they are tying spygate into this.

I hear that Tom Brady is assembling a "dream team" of lawyers similar to former NFL star OJ Simpson. Should be interesting. It might get even more interesting if Mr. Kraft decides to sue the NFL, ala Al Davis. Goody could be in a major pickle if that occurs. Maybe Mr. Kraft will agree to drop the lawsuit on certain conditions. One would be getting that apology that he asked for earlier and another might be Goody's resignation (maybe throw in Kensil while you're at it).

Taking away the picks when the report exonerated the team, BB and everyone but the two ass clowns and Brady was a complete over reach by the league and I don't see any way other than suing the league to reverse that part of the punishment. I hope he goes for it and buries Goofdell and Wells in one shot.

I have no animosity towards Wells. He gave Goodell exactly what he paid for.
Wells response to those questioning his integrity is priceless. He is an attorney!

There is no way the NFL is giving those picks back, fuck it keep the 4th rd pick, unless he goes to court. This will come down to what other owners want to see Kraft do. If they say go for it, Kraft will. I really think if Johnathan was in charge, things would get really ugly for the NFL.

If they want to set the franchise back a few years without a first round pick next year they will do nothing.

That is some funny stuff there. I think the term "dream team" would be better used in the chances the NFL apologises to Kraft and his team. When it`s all said and done, the only thing that might change is Bradys suspension from 4 to 2 but that would take alot of the potential revenue of the wk 6 gm with the Colts and Bradys 1st gm back. How many people even non football people are going to tune-in for that gm? Might just rival the SB.This whole thing is starting to reek with both sides. Is there a hidden agenda????

Roger Goodell hearing Tom Brady appeal. Hired Ted Wells to investigate. Deferred punishment to Troy Vincent but approved it as justifiable

Apparently the Owners are glad Fodger did what he did. Fuck it Kraft, take them down.

Talk about an ego and pissing off the majority of owners.......................

1. If Goodell doesn't reduce the suspension, Kessler has already said they're heading to court.
2. If Goodell doesn't reduce the suspension and fine, he'll piss off the NFLPA
3. If Goodell doesn't reduce the suspension and fine, he'll piss off the guy who got the union to agree to
send the players back to the field and make 32 men billionaires.
4. If Goodell reduces the suspension and fine, he look like an ass and confirm he sucks at his job.

The NFL should have found a retired federal court judge and asked him to fairly arbitrate the appeal. No, not Roger, he's smarter than everyone else and he's going to take care of this and show everyone who's the boss.

No matter which way this goes, Goodell looks like a fool. $4M for the report and $400M to defend it. Think Wells' firm will handle the defense??

The fact that Goofdell is hearing the appeal is a conflict of interest just for starters. It should send shivers down the spine of every player in the league, not just the NFLPA. Just because Vincent communicated the punishment doesn't mean Goofdell didn't have a hand in it. That is the dumbest decision a commissioner of any sport has ever made by hearing this appeal.

At this point, if Goodell doesn't vacate the suspension altogether (which is about as likely as me flapping my arms really hard and flying) Brady is going to court. He's all in on this. As for Kraft, I think at the very least, he appeals the punishment, which will get heard by, guess who? From there, I would say if the NFL doesn't return the first round pick, it's about 50-50 he goes Al Davis on the NFL.

I really have to shake my head. It should have been very simple. It's the air pressure in a football for crying out loud. Now it's literally become a federal case. The Pats are not blameless is the escalation of this whole matter. Kraft should never have demanded an apology from the NFL. After Belichick's "Mona Lisa Vito" presentation, Kraft should have shut up and not said anything. Maybe we'd still be in the same situation we are now, but that certainly didn't help.

Oh, and did I mention: THE WHOLE THINK IS ABOUT FUCKING AIR PRESSURE!!!!!!!!!!!:L

If it goes to court - that'll be it for Goodell. The Tagliabue card has already been played in Bountygate, so it's unlikely he will be called upon again to bail Roger out.

I think it's safe to say, it's more probable than not, that this is where it's headed... and it will be messy for everyone involved.
