It was my fault, I wasn't bowing towards the East and doing Hail Mary's when I uttered Jesus Richards name.

I have no problem with any of Boston's move, I said Bos would
be a tough mat-up in the playoffs before(mostly due to Thomas being nasty this year) and I stand by that statement. Richie is no Jesus btw the way he's lacking the long do and the beard.... however Giroux may fit the bill soon :D

My point was comparing those particular 2 players is like comparing power walking to running. To me it fits into the same boat as comparing Zherdev to Ovechkin or Bryce Salvadore to Drew Doughty. These are just not the kind of comparisions intelligent, knowledgeable hockey fans make.

While we're on the subject though I will attempt to show how to compare players. I will use Mike Richards as my starting point, and these are the players I fell would fit into the ""poor man's version".

Dustin Brown- plays the same physical style game, can play in all 3 zones, can find the back of the net and has some good hockey vision, also a locker room presence and the DESIRE to work hard every night.

Jordal Stall- extremely responsible 2WF, can core but can also shut down the opponents top line, plays a physical style and is a work horse.

Jeff Skinner- the kid hits, he skates hard every shift, can is propably one of the more naturally talented goal scorers seen in recent years(behind stamkos of course), and he has a bit of sand paper in his game.

There is one other player I would like o cover quickly and that woudl be Ryan Kesler. This kid has straight up amazed me this year, I used to think him and Richie played the same game but the way Kesler is playing this year(like will a wad of sandpaper showed up his ass) he is in my opinion the best 2WF in the game currently.

That's great that you compared some players, but I don't think you read my post at all. It was a joke, based on an HFBoards thread. Not an actual player comparison.

That's also great, but a large part of why many of us left the swamp to to avoid crap forum boards and uneducated conversations started by people with a limited scope on the league as a whole and an even more limited vocabulary.

I tried to read that trash forum you linked. The OP is the type of people that made me leave the swamp as well as some of the first few responses. The breaking point was seeing raptor jesus being defiled into wearing a thrashers uniform.

I still feel it was a bad joke that needed too much irrelevent context to understand, but I do apologize if my respose was harsher then it should have been.

AND AUTO Richie and Datysuk are 2 different types of players now I'd say that thier actually pretty damn comparable, except for the fact that Datysuk get 2 offensive linemates where as Richie gets 1 and whichever should be scratch that's left over. Both damn good players in thier own right though.

No problem man. My posts are littered with dumb references that possibly only I get or think is funny. I wouldn't go as far as to say HF is trash, but that was a memorable thread for it's absolute ridiculousness. It just always stuck in my head, and for some reason when I think Peverley, I remember that thread.
