LOL... Ericsson can fight??!?!?!?
Besides turning over the puck, it's his second-best skill as a hockey player.

Well, look who finally decided to show up! That shift was the most energy Nash has expended all season.
I wonder if he has Internet access on the bench and is reading this thread?
Kenny, seeing as how I am someone who likes vocal, angry, passionate captains why do I always wind up with teams that have exactly the opposite? I never liked the idea of just handing over the captaincy to your best player. Never at any level.
And you're spot on about Mason. He's jacked up. Jim Carey Junior.
Find me one captain in today's NHL who yells and screams at his teammates? They just don't exist anymore. Guys making $5M/year to score 55 points are just going to tune out that kind of thing. The days of captains keeping guys in line are over. It's sad but true.
What's needed today is a core group that has a strong work ethic and leads the way. No one player leads a team anymore, no matter what anyone says. It's just so important to have a GROUP of players players who exhibit strong character, mental toughness, leadership and work ethic.
As for Mason, I don't watch him enough to be sure but, I'm not ready to call him Jim Carey 2.0 yet. If he can stop the losing and get some confidence back he'll start playing at the top of his crease and letting pucks hit him. Right now his head looks like it's on a swivel and he's trying to make every save a difficult one.
Hey Red Wings fans...does Larry Murphy always sound like he's 104 years old.
Mention free hot dog night, and he becomes a little boy again.![]()
