I know it was an exhibition game but from what I heard, the man looked amazing between the pipes tonight. I know Bob will eventually be dealt at some point this season. I just hope Bryzgalov is the real deal playing in a tough sports town. The man was very good on a bad Coyotes team. I just hope he does not melt down here. My gut Is Bob is going to be very good wherever he goes. What can we get for him?

You agree that he is history? We better get a huge return for him. We don't need to trade him.

No doubt in my eyes, ESPECIALLY with Bryz signed for 9 damn years. plus the NMC. Homer didnt sign Bacashihua for nothing. Look at what the Caps got for Varlamov, a bad team's 1st. Bob is better than Varly too.

Why trade him?
I cant see this happening. What if Ilya gets hurt?

Why keep him? Unless Bryz has some career ending injury, we might as well get rid of a good, young goalie that wont resign with us while he still has great value.

Then we are fucked. I would like to keep Bob, but he is not going to resign, or he is the biggest sucker ever. Id rather get something of value out of him over letting him walk.

We will keep Bob this year unless someone is desperate and blows us away with an offer. He is making similar money to Leighton. So which one would you rather have if Bryz goes down?

Trade him when his contract is nearing the end.

Well I understand what you are saying, but we need insurance. If we deal him we better be getting a goalie back in the deal. We cant go into the playoffs with just Ilya

i said this a couple weeks ago, it wouldn't surprise me at all if bob steals more starts than everyone is predicting.. the kid is incredible when he's on (like he was tonight).. just wore out last season and looked pretty bad

i'd love to hold on to him cause i think he's going to be the real deal, but i really think its a lot better for the team to deal him, maybe around the deadline this year.. play him a good amount early, let him strut his stuff, trade him to a team looking for a goalie, and watch him vault to stardom

hopefully the return we get is worth it, but i think it will be

..vokoun.. 1 year.. 1.5 mil.. homer, homer, homer..

i actually feel kinda bad for bryz.. he's in a very tough spot.. he's gotta blow people away, and keep doing it for all 9 years basically (assuming bob gets traded and becomes a star).. and in the present he's got to outplay vokoun, by 4 million.. he's going to get so much undeserved hate, and i'll say it right now, i'll probably be a part of it, but i'm going to try not to be.. homer made the trade, and the offer, i'll try to keep my frustrations on him

so glad bob got the shutout, even if it is preseason, the kid deserved so many last year and never got one, so good for him

My 02 - Bob will stay here all year and play 20-30 games and learn a lot of valuable NHL lessons from Bryz.

Bob was indeed solid, but he wasn't really seriously tested in my opinion and this is coming from someone that watched and taped the entire game.

Its a tough call I say if a sick offer comes in for him Homer will have no choice but to move him....if not let him ride shotgun for a year and be one of the best tandems in hockey. Would be nice for once!!!

If the B's can hang onto rask the Flyers can hang onto Bob. Schneider is a good example as well....keep him if you can.

keep bob for as long as you can. this is the first time in a long time that the flyers are blessed with talent in net. keep all of it. bob's a real talent..keep him as long as possible and who knows? maybe in 3-4 years when bryz is in his mid 30s bob takes over and we trade bryz? its a great problem to have. i never understood why teams want to trade good backups...goaltending is the hardest position to find for your team..and right now we have 2 very very capable netminders. we should be hanging on to them.

only way i trade bob is if we get a sick offer..like a first rounder and a proven top 6 forward or top 4 defenseman.

Yep my point exactly plus it allows you to rest Bryz throughout the season so he's ready for the cup run. They won't miss a beat with Bob in the pipes and you're right if Bob does progress they will have no problem finding a taker for Bryz down the road. Nice problem to have...I'm pumped!
