Seems Tortorella has turned his guns on Bob, and as a result, some of the kool aid drinkers are on the "trade Bob" bandwagon. Forgetting that we're a lottery team without him.

Who is to blame so far: Brandon Saad, Nick Foligno, Bob.

Who has done nothing wrong: Torts (Didn't notice Pens changing neutral zone structure), Calvert (Suspended for a hella cheap shot), Dubinsky (took penalty that gave Pens go ahead goal and stood there while the guy scored the OT winner was wide open right next to him).

Stop the ride, I want to get off.

Roster moves:
IN: Sedlak (off IR), Nutivaara (No idea why he wasn't in - top 4 guy all year) and Quincey (You know, a guy who's been to the top of the mountain), Calvert (*sigh*)

OUT: Werenski (obviously), Harrington (THANK YOU JESUS), Hartnell, Milano (who was competent in place of Calvert)

On the one hand, it's hard to completely decouple the Jackets' regular season success from something Tortorella must have been doing right. On the other hand, between this playoff series and certain World Cup of Hockey decisions *coughKesselcough*, his flaws as a coach are many, significant, and pretty obvious.

To Torts' credit, he did just let the team define an identity and stay with it all season. He let the kids come to the forefront (but what choice did he have?), and they got on a roll. There wasn't any adversity to push them out of for the majority of the season. Now that there is...

So, I was typing "The Jackets need a solid start and have to play smart" and they take a penalty 19 seconds in.

If that PP was any type of indicator, "Lazy Geno" showed up to the arena tonight.

I was thinking the same. Three very soft passes turned into turnovers. Hopefully, he gets going as the game goes on.

This Quincey guy seems fired up. Wonder why he hasn't played before?

Finally, a bounce goes our way. Deflection off Crosby's foot.

Josh Anderson is just one of the reasons why I think Dubinsky is expendable.

And Guentzel is gonna need a hot tub at the end of this one. Quincey has plastered him twice.

This game could be 4-0 if the Jackets could hit the barn.

Quincey made Geno mad. Be on the look out for future developments.

Also, that was an extremely Patric Hornqvist goal. Including the part where he got hit from behind into the goalie after the puck went in, because that's a great way to protect your netminder, Jack Johnson (sucks).

I want to see that pinch by Cole near the end of the period. Did he get his elbow up?

And finally some signs of life from the Pens. A bit more pleasant for me to watch when every damn Pens pass doesn't result in a turnover...

On follow through, yeah it looks like it. Naturally the Jackets broadcast showed it several times.

It's a step in the right direction. The Jackets more or less survived a second period.

It looked like it to me, but it also looked like the refs were letting them play.

The Pens did seem to wake up for the second half of that period. Hopefully they can keep it up and tie this in the third

Okay boys, let's start the third on the front foot.

Edit: Yeah, like that.

Edit Edit. Not like that. Stop it.
