i want to see 11.
In other news hell has frozen over.
Bout time Bo.
Drop the ego and get back to tradition.
Call me old school, but I always thought the black shirt should be earned on field after playing a few games. If you ask me, practice is good and all, but don't really mean shit. Just IMO
"Old school" Nebraska issued 11 in fall practice. They were placed in the lockers (as a surprise) as they were earned. There is no guarantee that blackshirt will be in your locker the next practice. It could be in another players locker of the same position.
Kevin Cosgrove was the first to trash the "old school" blackshirt tradition by passing them out in team meetings like candy. He diluted the meaning to the point of 25 players having blackshirts at the same time.
There should be no more than 11 or 12.
One of these years when we have 11 guys returning with a ton of playing time I guarantee you he will hand out all 11.....
Bo is actually growing up and understands that tradition is very important........and also, the tradition that Nebraska has is top of the line.
Cannot end the best tradition in the country.
