Kool Aid reportedly was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his foot, which may slightly affect his draft status because he will now miss workouts before the draft, though he should be ready for the regular season.

That could bump up Rakestraw ahead of him.

I think some of that safety talk is slightly racist lol. He played 1 snap at safety in college (and actually played quite a few at DL). He's an athletic freak and should play CB, albeit a better fit in an off/zone scheme. I don't think he's the choice for press.
I think he's a tackling machine who's game translates to a heck of a pro safety.

COULD

IS very much the key word here.

All of this is subjective and projection anyway. Kool-Aid had been slipping to the end of the 1st in some mocks already. Still could be the #1 CB too, depends on system fit and the scouts.

I see him as an ideal fit for a team like Buffalo that plays a lot of off and zone coverages. If that ends up being safety ultimately, that's a huge plus in versatility. I think he should get looks at CB first though.

Yeah, it seemed Kool-Aid was going to be a late first rounder in any case. I am not sure if this affects his stock too much, since he was an Alabama player and there is plenty of tape on him, but it may cause him to drop a slight bit.

On DeJean, I think the projections of him to safety make sense on paper, given his apparent strengths and weaknesses and a guy with good ball skills and straight line speed but less fluid pure mirroring coverage skills. But it may be racist that people are just assuming his NFL position isn't corner.

I don't know about race but if the numbers in this topic are right then DeJean is an inch shorter than Wiggins and 22 Lbs heavier. Those guys are probably going to be used quite a bit differently.

By most accounts Wiggins is the best pure cover guy in the draft and arguably the guy with the most upside, but yes, he is skinny and his run support willingness has been questioned. He'll still probably go first though because if he grows into his frame a bit, he has #1 lockdown corner potential.

Wow. Meanwhile Quinyon Mitchell ran a 4.3. He seems to be on the rise and may be the top corner now?

Terrion Arnold seems to be getting the comp of Jaylon Johnson. That sounds like a top 15 pick to me. I do think Quinyon Mitchell checks the most boxes. Probably should also go top 20.

Mitchell should very well work himself into the top ten. Looks like he might be CB1. The only thing holding back would be that he's from the MAC. However, that argument doesn't really hold up because of his play during the Senior Bowl week.

Abrams-Draine in general I think got targeted more but did make more plays. Rakestraw has tons more upside. Might not be able to cover everyone but that shouldnt matter

Durability seems to be a concern for Rakestraw. Both the Missouri boys seem pretty legit to me.

Could very well be top two. The combination of his game tape and how he performed today at the combine could easily place him way up there.
