Got to watch some of the game, lots of depth on this team. Panarin had to go the 7+2=9 route, Motte was winning faceoffs though and looks like he will get to play in Columbus.

Anton Forsberg looked great in goal, lots of redirects, bouncing pucks, when we miss Panarin we need to remember we got him with Saad.

I think they took a point away from Kane, so he is just on course for a 320 point season now not 400.

Sure did not like how Schmaltzies knee looked, definitely looked like one of those CL sprains, but Q said both he and Kero should play saturday. That speed with Kane was just so evident in the middle.

Q tends to downplay his assessment of injuries, so hopefully we get a REAL update today.

If that first game was any indication of how this team is going to play... we are set for a wild ride. Speed and size were evident in game one. Saad being back is HUGE! I'm throughly excited for this Hawks season. (not that I ever wasn't before) Even Sharp looked quick in game one! Of course we can't expect that type of scoring output each game...but they looked down right lethal Thursday night. (with some legit puck luck) Go Hawks.

Oh... and how about Debrincat being the tiny agitator! He turned the puck over a few times, but I think that will improve with time and less fist game jitters. I loved the way he was sticking his tiny mitts in to help defend teammates and even getting in a few hits late in the game. Excited to see what he becomes when his scoring and puckhandling skills get a little more open ice.

I read that Schmaltz was on the ice for the morning skate, Kero was not.

wow, nice physical play by the hawks. Who would have thunk it. Young D making great plays, great passes.

Schmaltz looked like he got concussed, I dont know how Saad didnt when he went head first to the post.

Nice win last night against the Habs... Crawford looked good and DeBrincat with his first goal and an assist!

Really looking good. I honestly don't care what Panarin does for Columbus, Saad is proving to be just what the doctor ordered as far as our team is concerned. Sharpie fitting back in nicely as well...
