Howard this year has been doing less of the bombs away, trying to get his mates involved, but he really regressed today.

It looked like Howard at the end of the year last year.

He wore down late in the game and kept trying to shoot through it.

BLowing another Q1 road win opportunity because he wont stop fucking playing McEwen.

vs Butler our best lineup was Howard/Anim/Cain/Bailey and Theo. He stops doing that and we implode.

Down 6 vs X. We end up getting up by 7 with Howard/Anim/Cain/Bailey and Johnson. Its a simple fucking concept. Play your best lineups.

Now we open the half with McEwen and Theo in. We have Theo posting up multiple times(he cant do it) and McEwen being nothing but a negative. Lead immediately gone and we havent score in almost 4 minutes.

It is beyond bad.

Markus goes to the line like 10 times a game and never gets a call driving. Luckily dumbass big me bump him on the perimeter while in the bonus all the time.

They just can't shoot. Knowing our luck they will rain in the rematch in a few games but they are a poor shooting team. Goodin should simply just not do it.

Refs not letting up tho, X hasnt made a basket in like 5 minutes, so just calling a foul every possession instead. Dude airballed it cause he sucks, not cause he was fouled.

I don't usually comment on coaching but, that was really, REALLY poor coaching by Marquette.

Do you know how many times Xavier has run that top of the key halfcourt play for Marshall this year? A lot, including a couple of times at the end of games.

That wasnt on Wojo. Torrence missed the foul, Wojo was screaming for it.

Wojo however is at fault for not calling a TO at the end of the 1st OT to draw up a play for the win. Now we go to 2 OT and we will have walk ons playing soon.

X has the most talent in this league on paper, they just can't play as a team. If they get in though, you don't want to face them in the 1st round.

Nah. Not close to the most talented imo. But they are dangerous when they really hit the class and play D. They came in as preseason 3 because they returned a lot from a NIT team that got hot late. But they are what they are. Dangerous but very beatable.

Recruiting wise, they're guys are all pretty high and they are all juniors and seniors.

They just haven't come together. But if Jones and Marshall go off, they can beat teams.

I think there's a pretty clear top half of this league in terms of being able to consistently win. Hopefully all those teams can get in. I think another team gets in.

Well you can't just go off recruiting tho. Tandy appears to be a player who will eventually be really nice. But Goodin blows(outside of the typical blackout vs Marquette game) and their big 3 can't shoot. Whole team sucks at the line. THey turn it over. They have size and length but its really tough to strictly score inside the arc in the half court unless youre really, really good.

Would be good for the league if they can get in tho. They have 2 very winnable games next week which would really get them back in the convo if they win both.
