Will take the victory no doubt. But boy was that an abomination of a half. I think we made 5 baskets all half.

Luckily Nova never once went on a run with their offense. The 14-2 run they had covered like 10 minutes.

I felt like we got every drive to the hole blocked. Didnt expect that from marquette. Box score says 7 blocks felt like it was like 17

Marquette seton hall is going to be an interesting game.

That's our defense. Bait teams into thinking they have a easy drive and go for the blocks. Theo played unreal today. Thats why Creighton had such a good game plan. They got us to protect the 3 line but drove once our help D left the paint.

I know the 3s will always be Nova's game but they settled way too much. JRE could be so could if he ever considered putting his ass in the paint. Swider is a great shooter but thats all he does. We let them have smaller guys guard on perimeter and had Theo sit back.

But that was a brutal second half all around.

Pretty big win. And road game that ends in a W is so huge. There just isn't much separation between anybody in the Big East. Winning road games is where that separation can start.

NET penalizes losing home games way too much though.

Honestly, just having a 6 seed or higher and not having to play Duke in the first weekend is probably all you ask for this year. And to be playing injury free and well.

A high seed would be nice, but its meaning I feel will be much less this year.

The gap gap between a perceived 3 seed and even a 10 seed this year isn't very much. Just look at WVU and Purdue. They are separated by 9 spots in KenPom.

Seton Hall-Butler. Seton Hall now looks like the best team in this league after I wrote them off. They've got size, athleticism, guard depth, and their 2nd best scorer is still coming back. They get Butler tonight.

Xavier was my preseason pick to win this conference, them and Marquette find themselves in a hole. Not a must win, but winner can gain some momentum towards a better tourney seed.

Yeah it'll be really hard to make up ground at 1-4 starting off.

They just can't shoot. Knowing our luck they will rain in the rematch in a few games but they are a poor shooting team. Goodin should simply just not do it.

Yeah especially with two home losses already in league play. With one being what I would say is a 50/50 game against Creighton.
