Auburn transfer Mustapha Heron immediately available to play for St Johns.

Could put them on the bubble. They'll have the best backcourt in the country with UVA. Tehy'll be a lot of fun to watch.

I think they're a tournament team now at this point.

I def think so at this point.

Will be interesting to see how Mullins can coach them.

Last year SJU was elite defensively and sucked on offense. This year might be a complete reversal.

They won’t have any size.

Looks about right...

Heron probably makes at least 2nd team Big East, he was 2nd team SEC last year.

Marquette turning into a pretty unanimous 2nd best team preseason. Wojo has to prove himself here.

If things go well and we are a solid team I’m super excited for the future.

It’s just practice but everyone is raving about McEwen and Bailey. Koby has to sit this year as a transfer but he will help the 19/20 team be elite and it continues to show why we’ve struggled to land another guard. Bailey is one many thought would struggle for minutes since he took 2 years off. But he’s 21 has size and NBA blood. He’s been impressing.

Do you have a minute to talk about Joe Burrow?

Marquette had its shaky shooting game right away. Still won comfortably. Defense looks improved greatly but UMBC isn’t a great barometer

Interesting rotations for Wojo. Heldt got 1 min of garbage time. Morrow didn’t play much. The young guys(bailey in service time not age) seem to be getting the opportunity early on.

UMBC barely looked like a D1 team.

But Marquette looked good.

#12 and #23 look like concentration camp survivors.

Biggest difference for this MU team is their clear upgrade in size. Hopefully Elliot can get back by BE play to help at guard

J Hauser and Bailey will be studs sooner than later

Lot of close calls this past weekend. Those middling teams need to really pick it up.

Marquette sneaks into the Top 25.

West Virginia gets booted from #13 to receiving votes for losing to Buffalo. A bit harsh maybe.

Correct my if I'm wrong but I think this is the first time Marquette has been ranked since pre-season of the inaugural 'Big East' season.
