I guess we shouldn't be surprised Wojo is recruiting short guys who can shoot from 25 feet but can't put any contested layup in, but he needs to recruit more length and athleticism to make it happen. More JaJuan Johnsons.

That's why next year is the year. We will have BE size everywhere. Actually this year we are not really that small it's just our two best players are tiny so it kills us.

Cain and Elliot need to add muscle but I love those freshman. Cain should reach the hights that everyone hoped JuJuan would.

Next year it's basically Markus that's undersized. Elliot is a lanky 6'3 and Anim is a thick 6'4.

Otherwise it's Cain, Bailey, Hauser Brothers, John, Froling, Heldt, Morrow for guys over 6'6. Eke is redshirted this year not sure he even plays next year.

Theo John and Ed Morrow give us the legit BE bodies.

Just wish in the mean time our undersized guys could get a call

Yea, they made it respectable at the end, but the truth is Butler DESTROYED us.

We can't ever beat Butler.

That was just rotten luck. Sure, Nova chucked unnecessary 3s in the 1st half when they scored at will inside but that game was mostly a product of the fluke shooting performance of the season

I've watched butler a lot and everyone outside of Martin and Baldwin are not even worthy of remembering their names. And even Baldwin is incredibly inefficient most of the time

Nova was shooting 48% and down 20 at 1 point

Their 3 point shooting was insane. I don't think Butler missed a 3 in the 2nd half.

But there were countless defensive lapses by Nova. Some work to do.

Yea, I thought this was going to be a down year for Butler too. Butler has now set themselves up as a tourney team.

Wojo has to accept the fine because we literally do not get the calls and it needs to be addressed

Unbiased announcers point it out every game

Howard and/or Rowsey in foul trouble every first half

The opponent or venue dont matter

Markus is so good

But our Bad D plus Novas unreal offense is not a good recipe

If Rowsey was even half competent/we make some of the wide open looks we got in the first 10 min maybe it gets really interesting

Brunson was the difference.

When the other team gets closer, he just makes offense. Without him, we're a borderline Top 25 team.

Marquette actually has a nice collection of players at positions 1 to 4. I like Anim. He's active and athletic.

Losing Rowsey will be addition by subtraction.

Brunson gets loads of praise and is still underrated in my opinion. Bridges is considered the major prospect and he's good...but give me Brunson. The dude is simply in control.

100% agree on Rowsey. This years team NEEDs him. We simply don't have the bodies or experienced scoring. But next year when we do, we will not miss him. His defense is historically bad and pairing him with also bad Howard is why our D sucks so bad

Anim and the 2 lanky freshmen Cain and Elliot(him forsure) are actually very quality defenders. Hauser holds his own vs bigger guys. And the 3 bigs might foul a lot but all 3 are competent.

So yeah, we have a horrible defense and yet 7/9 guys are decent-good defenders individually.

But holy fuck I hope Wojo found something with this defense(sitting Rowsey or Howard a lot). Best defensive game in 4 years.

O yeah we got a LONG ways to go and we're probably out before this. Just meant we def were in convo.

So many bubble teams. We definitely have the look of a 7-10 seed tourney team. But gotta prove it way more.

Also great to see what happens when the refs don't call a bunch of horsesht on us(might have even had a slight edge tonight)

First game vs a high major I think all year we didn't get crushed with fouls

Besides Nova last game as well but we weren't ever gonna win so im counting this as the first lol
