One of my favorite Al Bundy quotes was when a fat lady walked into the shoe store and Al bumped into her......

Fat lady: Next time go around me.

Al: Lady.....,I don't have enough gas in my car to go around you

The thing about Al Bundy and Married with Children in general that is overlooked is the impact they had while facing the obstacles they had to overcome. Fox was a fledgling network made up of mostly UHF channels in limited markets, released limited episodes meaning they were showing some reruns against new episodes on other networks and in the era of "Cosby" humor was fought by the censors(actually a boycott campaign elevated the series' popularity) … the episode about Marcy/Peg/Kelly having a period at one time was banned … and single handedly allowed Fox survive to become the fourth broadcast network. It is one of the GOATS.

It's still pretty rare in syndication I find, but it is a classic.

This is probably a different category but most of those hour long cop shows have a guy in there for comic relief. My favorite was on a show called Southland. There was a guy named Dewey. He was the cliche alcoholic cop that falls off and gets back on the wagon throughout the series. He was also the "prankster cop". This guy played that character so over the top it cracked me up.

Ive tried to watch it a few times...….And Geroges characyer will never change...….still a whine-ass with a piercing voice.........

I liked George but I understand not being able to watch a show because you didn't like the voice. For me, the voice is Lucille Ball. I know she's a legend and all but I could never get past the loud whining.
