I chose Payton. I like both a lot but I personally feel that Payton was the better overall, and more consistent back. Anyhow, looking forward to the QB debate.

He retired and there's no way of knowing what "could've" been because we simply can't know. He could've torn his ACL the first play of the next season and never been the same again.

Payton. He was a more situationally complete back. He was impactful at any down and distance.

I saw it tightening up and decided to vote. But I have no problem with those who think Payton was better. I think Brown was better than both of them anyway.

I don't mind that Barry is going to win, at least it was close, if the voting had been 40 - 10 that would have angered me a little but it's cool.

Top3 should easily include them both, with the 3rd being Jim Brown. People can debate about the order, but I don't see how those 3 aren't the top3.

Didnt get a chance to vote, and kinda hate these things, but these two are my favorite players ever, in no particular order. Ida voted Walter.
While Barry may very well be the best running back ever, Walter is the best FOOTBALL PLAYER ever. He would have found success in the NFL at almost any position. He coulda excelled at DB, QB, WR...you name it.
