Overall. The PAC 12 has no elite teams and about 6 that will make the tourney. The Big East has 2 very good teams and the rest of the conference is aveage. The B1G has 6 or 7 very good to good teams. 9 or 10 tourney teams and 3 elite teams. As far as elite teams the ACC, Big 12 and B1G all have 3 teams.

1. Big 12
2. ACC
3. Big 10
4. Big East
5. Pac 12

The rest don't matter.

So by very good for the Big 10 are you including Wisconsin who lost at home to Marquette and wire to wire vs Georgetown?

Or Purdue? Who lost pretty soundly to Butler.

The rest of the BE is average...when they beat on each other. Out of conference they were far above average.

Please expand on your reasoning because it's twisted logic. You basically say the big10 has very good teams because in conference they have tourney teams pounding dog shit teams

And big east is average because 6 teams keep beating each other similarly matched teams.

Ok so this will be fun. Mock P12/B10 challenge ( by RPI ). Flipped a coin to see who got first home game then alternated

Maryland vs Oregon
Utah vs Iowa
MSU vs Cal
Arizona vs Purdue
Indiana vs USC
Oregon St vs Wisconsin
Michigan vs Colorado
UCLA vs Ohio St
Penn St vs Washington
Stanford
vs NW
Illinois vs AZ State
Wazzu vs Nebraska

Who ya got in each game??

7-5 Pac 12 IMO. Winning on the road is hard. I think AZ would win on a neutral over Purdue. Same with UCLA/Ohio State.

What about if you assume every game is a neutral court?

I've got 6-6 in my scenario but I'd go 7-5 B10 on neutral court as I think MSU beats Cal, Indiana beats USC and Zona beats Purdue. Kinda boring that I picked all the home teams... lol

Let's just say they all played on a neutral floor just to make it easier. And since this is as hypothetical as me dating a hot pornstar.

I just kinda went with my gut and who I've seen play. What does that come out to?

Big 12 8-4.

It's tough not to be biased though. They don't play a lot of PAC-12 games out here.

Hedging your bets by combining the Big 10 abd the Pac 12 for the " Big 12 "?? I like your style lol

The SEC is 22-48 against the other P5 conferences and A-10.

The SEC is 6th in conference RPI. One Florida win over WVU doesn't indicate anything.

And also the SEC doesn't do very well in the tournament, it's basically UF and UK. The SEC is averaging LESS than 4 bids a year since they went with 14 teams and one of those teams wouldn't have made it, if not for winning the conference tournament(Ole Miss 2013, which was basically a mid major level of conference that year, see below)

Also the reason why people trash on the SEC:

2016 conference RPI: 6th
2015 conference RPI: 5th
2014 conference RPI: 7th
2013 conference RPI: 8th
2012 conference RPI: 3rd
2011 conference RPI: 6th

One good year going back the last 5 years, including this one, and in a couple of those years finished behind mid major conferences.

The SEC concerns you greatly, doesn't it?

Not really. I did nothing but provide facts as to why the sec is the worst P6 conference in basketball. SEC is great in football and mediocre in basketball, been that way for 5-6 years now.

Maryland ain't winning @ Oregon
Indiana certainly isn't winning @ USC (they are awful on the road)
Michigan isn't winning at Colorado

A case can be made they are actually above the Big East, bc they only have 2 very good teams. The Pac doesn't have one very good team except maybe Arizona. From top to bottom they aren't better than the B1G, ACC or Big 12. Wiconsin and scum are two teams that are inconsistent, but they can beat anyone in the country, you can't say that for a lot of teams, especially in the Pac 12.
And questioning MSU or Iowas bc they lose against Ohio St just isn't right. At home Ohio St is one of the best teams in the B1G, they beat Kentucky when they were playing like shit and that was a neutral site. They have basically freshman and sophomore but when they do play good I like their chances to beat almost any team in the country. They have length and athleticism at every position.

UCLA also beat Kentucky and I don't see anyone pumping them as a great team at home or on the road.

This, my friends, is what sets Vanderbilt and the SEC conference apart from all others.
