Sorry I missed this one. Some days I actually have to work... like all day. No Lem Barney ? But we've got the likes of Everson Walls and Lester Hayes ? No Lions fans representing yesterday I guess. Oh well.
Why you bashing Lester Hayes?
Indeed, and uncalled for, Lester stays...................................

Looks like these are already losing their appeal... Corner could be the last one...
I just picked 2 guys from the list that Barney was clearly better than.
No you picked two guys from the list who you think Barney was better than... Let's not try to pass off your opinion as fact...
Well obviously that was just my opinion. Now if I said that Barney had more picks, pick yards, pick 6s, fumble recoveries, pro bowls and all pro selections than Hayes... plus he's in the HOF and Hayes is not, then those would be facts.
Stats is your argument? Emmitt has the most yards, is he the best back of all time? Pete Rose has the most hits, is he the best hitter of all time?
After 1980 teams simply didn't throw it to Lester's side of the field anymore which made it a little more difficult to put up big numbers.
Lynn Swann is in the HOF so that really means nothing to me.
At least it's based on something. Barney was defensive rookie of the year with 10 picks for 273 yards and 3 TDs. Do you think teams decided "yeah, let's go at that guy" after that ?
