didnt he used to own the record for most fumbles by a QB?

I believe so. But I think Warren Moon surpassed him. 2 QBs with ties to Seattle... And then Brett Favre pipped them both.....

Somewhere back in early 90's? The USFL or something similar spawned a running back who's name I cannot recall, at the moment (so maybe he's more forgettable than Krieg, better to be remembered for something?)

Anyway, this running back (Tony Something??) was asked who his favourite non-athlete was.

His response was "Dave Krieg."

Probably a few of the finalists from last year get in. James and Bruce likely, I think. At least one of those linemen. Lots of DBs on the list. Hard to figure where that vote will go but it hurts the chances of some of the other defensive players, I think.

Two players I've though for years should be in the HOF.

Jake Scott. Granted he only played 9 years. But he was a 5x pro bowler, 2x S.B. champ & MVP of S.B. VII.

Steve Atwater. 8x pro bowler & 2x S.B. champ.

Among the most overlooked players in my opinion is CB Ken Riley of the Bengals (1969-83). Currently tied for 5th all-time in career INTs with 65 (including 5 pick 6's). Played 15 seasons. 3x All-Pro, but was never voted to a Pro Bowl....proof that the Pro Bowl is a meaningless popularity contest. Riley also had 8 INTs including 2 pick 6's in his final season at age 36 and was voted 1st team All-Pro for the only time in his career. Here's a list of the top-10 career INT leaders:

(1)PAUL KRAUSE--81
(2)EMLEN TUNNELL--79
(3)ROD WOODSON--71
(4)DICK LANE--68
(5)Ken Riley--65
(5)Charles Woodson--65
(7)ED REED--64
(8)RONNIE LOTT--63
(8)Darren Sharper--63
(10)Dave Brown--62
(10)DICK LEBEAU--62
