However not that bad. If they do nothing and an offer sheet comes his way they will get at least a 2nd round pick. Anything lower and they match.
If they are lucky and a bidding war happens it could be a 1st and a 3rd. 3.3 mil offer
If a team wants to avoid a bidding war they may try a sign and trade with the Kings. Lock in the price before a bidding war.

I don't know who Scott Mitchell is, but apparently he's saying a solid source has told him the Flyers & Kings are talking 11th pick plus for Bernier.

If that happened I probably wouldn't even be mad. I might die of laughter, but I wouldn't even be mad.

I wouldn't worry about it. Apparently the Flyers are out in regards to Bernier & instead have an offer on the table for Bobby Ryan. The guy who covers the Isles says the Leafs & Isles are the front runners on Bernier.

Timmy P is a tool. Every year at this time or the TDL it's the same rumor mill
in regard to Ryan. I'd love him to play in Philly, but not for the price it would cost. Not to mention the Flyers don't have a ton of cap space. On that note, I wouldn't mind looking into Hiller if he may be available?

fair trade. I think the Flyers should do it. Bernier was the 11th pick in 06 and has gained a lot of insight watching the game. By the time that pick comes up the best 10 of the draft will be gone. Also Philly fans can be quite harsh when critiquing draft picks. This will take the ability to second guess the pick away from all the bloggers and message board freaks. Think of the peace of mind.

It's annoying to trade for a goalie in Philly because it's basically the reverse of a new car. The goalie loses 30% of it's value as soon as it gets on our lot.

I don't think it's a fair trade at all. What has Bernier actually done in his 62 NHL games to warrant a top 15 pick plus in return?

I hope Bernier ends up in Toronto or somewhere else. I don't want him on the Isles if the cost is that steep.
