Hmmm....

Start brushing up on the 'B' and 'C' level free agents that are going to be out there.

This tweet stems from a sitdown Hobs and Paul Dehner Jr. apparently just completed a short time ago.

If anyone actually believes this team will make productive moves this offseason, I have a ski resort in Aspen to sell you. Our "active" free agency will consist of resigning Maualuga and not much else. I'm sure there will be a 4th tier WR and OL signing in there for good measure.

Aren't we $20mil or so under the floor? I guess that means we will be signing a couple of mid to low grade FAs after all.

AJ Green to get 7 years / $70 million.

Maualuga to get 4 years / $28 million.

Then a few filler B Free agents.

Hit cap floor and we are done.

Who is even out there this year that could be considered an A level free agent? I honestly haven't got a clue but I'm pretty sure I haven't heard of any QBs which is the biggest need and isn't changing anyway.

I don't mind their approach to this. Mega contracts rarely ever work out. I just wish that when there are those guys available that are actually worth the risk they would put forth a legitimate effort to bring them in while they're still in their prime. I hate it when they bring in guys in the twilight of a great career and try to pass it off as a huge pickup (Sam Adams).

we sign our own... unless of course their names are Johnson, Joseph, or Collins... or Steinbach... or Hawkins... or Smith... oh hell this could go on forever.

more 'positive pr' to 'promote ticket sales' by 'surfing the wave of annual off season hope and optimism'

same game, different year.

If we were really serious about improving our offense, we'd throw a bunch of cash at Julius Thomas..... Give Dalton a tight end that isn't an idiot or made of glass.

Julius is injury prone....he hasn't learned how to keep his body right just as Burfict's dumb ass hasnt......I would throw money at Suh and Franchise Green...He has to come back and prove it to me...He is beginning to remind me of Chad Johnson with dropped balls short handing the catch fumbling.....He definitely shouldnt be asking for 100 mill..... JPP on the other side of Dunlap I would look at......

Eifert
Burfict
Jones

WE dont know what we have with any of em....And Burfict may start the season on PUP.....Fucking slow ass deciding idiot....What the hell has this dude been doin??? Lost tons of faith in Burfict because of this....

Thomas can't really block either, so it's probably wouldn't work if they wanted to be a run-first type team.

But I do think they need to get Dalton a reliable tight end..... It's not going to solve all his problems, but it would help.

I have no faith in Burfict to come back the same from surgery...... The dude plays like an absolute animal -- I just don't see him rehabbing like one. And I'm with you, why did it take so long to get the surgery? Lap said his knee was totally fucked up.

I would draft a replacement for his ass in the 2nd so freekin fast.....If he wants it come get it..Thats why he didnt get more than 20 mill.....He wanted the LB from Ravens that signed with Miami money....

Eiffert will get injured again. he's shown he can't handle the load.

Burfict will have his limbs amputated.

Hewitt is good, but we have exceptional talent in this league he cant' compete with.

we're not signing freaking D. Thomas or J. Thomas
THIS IS CINCINNATI, embrace the mediocrity
