just b/c some fans hold KC is a high standard you call them haters. You guys gave him a free pass in Dec. of 2016. Most didn't.

Who gave him a free pass? I didn't. I have stated repeatedly that he needs to perform better in the clutch & that game provided an example of what he needs to correct. It was heartbreaking at the time but no reason to give up on the guy. Again - let's see how he does in the first few weeks. We can then truly start this debate and base it on something that actually means something.

I will believe that the moment I ever see you criticize Moses, Norman or any of your other favorites. Until then its called a double standard. You are overly critical of Cousins because you dont like him, and overly forgiving of players you like.

wrong. I said Moses had bad games in the past. KC's contract puts a bulls eye on his back. Why don't you understand this?

I agree. I just don't want to hear the built in excuses IF he regresses this year. That is all.

No. Even if offered the Carr deal he would of turned it down. I know im speculating but its my opinion. I hope he shows us this year that he is worth more than Carr and Luck. The organization was not 100% sold on him. Do you agree with that statement?

Back to hypotheticals I guess. Again...nobody said pay the man with a blank check. We said make a fair offer.

Shark and I were saying the whole time the organization wanted a new toy. What do you think that meant?

So blank check equals highest paid player in the league. Once again you didn't answer the question.

blank check doesnt equal highest paid player in the NFL . if the skins insult offer had 2 more years guaranteed it would have been penned . you know the details of the official offer and now you have amnesia

I know it was a low ball offer. Im not disputing that. The organization has doubts about him that is all i am saying. I hope he proves them wrong.

If that is your view that is fine. But like I said before if KC has a bad year the origiznation deserves some credit for not locking him up long term at huge money. We all hope he has a good year and proves the Redskins wrong.

Yes I did answer the question. Shark and I both said the organization doubted him. That is what wanting a shiny new toy means.

I'm not sure the organization is all about politics so far, especially with KC. I just think some individuals within the front office are gun shy with giving KC a long-term or big money contract after what happened with RG3. They spent a ton of resources on RG3. From trading up and losing multiple first round picks, to the cash he received; and they don't want to replicate that mistake. That decision put this team back at least five years.

BA isnt about politics ? he smeared our GM to get him fired , he wont let KC walk because of Kyle shanahan and he isnt about politics . mr winning off the field ?

this could have been done in 15 at half the cost he killed it could have been done in 16 , he killed it sorry, then that BS presser ? not buying it isnt about politics

I'm not going to disagree with any point that you've made because they're valid ones. I will add that with all of the progress that Cousins has made, and they were all significant considering where he started....there are some aspects to his game that are just plain puzzling to any fair minded evaluator, why there has been little or no progress.

(For those inclined to ask, his baffling decision making at times, his drastic drop off in efficiency when improvisation is required, and that damned disappearing act in clutch games to name a few)

And being in a position where we will likely be desperately looking for a QB in a year doesnt put them in a position to exactly replicate the RG3 debacle?? The cost of Cousins only goes down if he fails miserably. At which point they wouldnt resign him any way. As I have said many times, the only way the front office looks smart on this is if the team finishes horribly, and they are able to draft the shiny new QB without having to trade up in order to do it.

6-10 equals another RG3 trade or them settling for the 3rd or 4th best QB in the draft. And I simply dont see Dan or the Fan Base being happy with taking the 4th best QB no matter how over rated the 2018 rookie class is at QB.

At the end of the day, I would rather swallow an extra year of cap space, than risk another three years worth of first round draft picks on the position... again.

very intrigued to see how a guy with the aptitude to handle a mechanical engineering degree will handle making calls on the line

The usual, let’s make a big deal of a practice game. I was right there with you overreacting, especially the first three series by the offense. And KC? wow, he was bad starting out. KC was very lucky he only gave up 1 pick 6, should have been 2. But, he got it going and the offense started to click.

IMO for the first time in a long, long time the Redskins will have to cut some very talented players on the defensive side of the ball. I won’t be surprised at all when they get picked up by other teams. I think our defense and ST has a chance to be pretty good this season.

When the offense starts playing like it should along with what appears to be a much improved defense…the Skins should play some pretty good football.

HTTR my brothers and sisters, it’s good to be a REDSKINS fan!

Oh, I agree with your response and all the crap BA has done. Which in my mind is not right and political crap. However I think he did those things because he did not completely trust giving KC a long-term contract after the RG3 situation. Which completely hurt the organization for many years. Therefore BA did not want to replicate that mistake and has been gun shy offering KC a longer contract early on when he should have.
