Roullier was the star on offense today. I was impressed with him. KC decision making is going to haunt this team. Its happening every week in the preseason. I know its only preseason but this must get corrected. All the rookies played well today.

Lets be serious. If the Skins 1st line of attack plays like they did today then opening game against the Eagles will be a long day for us fans.

It was 14-13 after the first half correct? That included a INT TD.

So why is the sky falling?

While the sky isn't falling, its perfectly reasonable to be concerned. Out first team has yet to look even marginal in any preseason game. They have not looked ready.

Don't want to overeact to the slow start again (seems to have carried over from last season) but concern is starting to creep in. Today's performance by our 1's reminded me of a car with 4 square tires driving around. What a clunker. Perhaps its just preseason getting long in the tooth for some of these guys!? :noidea:

It really depends on perspective. I am a little concerned about the offense, in particular the OL. That being said, we weren't concerned about this at all coming in because we know the offense is good.

Defensively though, we have shown vast improvements.

Again, we were in down by one against their starters. This included a defensive score for them.

We shot ourselves in the foot with a lot of poor penalties on offense. Our defense looked pretty good overall.

I just won't let myself get worked up over games that don't count. I do hope Gruden is tearing into them for lack of focus and poor execution.

Our offensive line has looked putrid, especially our "stars". That is a concern. KC has not been in sync with his receivers. I do realize that he has yet to have any significant practice or play time with his entire ensemble, so that could be the issue.

I couldn't care less about the outcome of a meaningless game, but the fact that this team has not looked prepared or motived at the beginning of any game so far is a big red flag for me and I put that directly on the HC. Gruden seems like a great guy, a real players coach. But at the end of the day it is his responsibility to get this team prepared and motived to play. He has yet to done so, IMO.

That pick six really reminded me of the Falcons game a few years ago when Cousins lost the game via a similar play. At the time I remember thinking that this guy was not the answer & the Redskins need to go in another direction. The Redskins & Cousins proved me wrong by doing very well for the remainder of the season. We will see what happens here.

No reason to panic, but obviously there is cause for concern & we won't have any further clues until opening day (since most impact players will not play in the next game). Pryor also almost had another stellar play, but he dropped a pass that would have been a big gain perhaps since he got ahead of himself.

I just hope that Docston suits up & contributes in the opener. This guy likely has to be a force for this team to do well. For all of the folks predicting 3-13 - I don't want to hear you stating that you knew it all along if/when this team does better. Personally I have no clue about whether this team will succeed this season, but I certainly won't come to quick conclusions based on some preseason games. We will see.

I agree with your post. But do you really think the Skins game planned for the Bengals yesterday? KC should know by now not to throw late to the sideline b/c a pick 6 is highly probable. His decision making should be a lot better than what it is right now. Another thing that I didn't like from KC yesterday was that he was sitting in the pocket while the pocket was breaking down. The guy doesn't scramble to avoid pressure or step up to avoid pressure. These are the things that he should have down pat by now. He did not look like a veteran Qb at all yesterday. These are the things he should posses by now over guys like Dak and Wentz. I hope it gets better in the regular season.
