I’m thinking it’s been long enough now that you should probably let that go
Why? Adam Silver and the NBA fucked my team for employing a tactic that many franchises past and present have used.

Because of Adam Silver:
- Sixers take Ben Simmons and not Ingram
- Sixers take Furkan Korkmaz instead of Pascal Siakam
- Sixers trade assets in order to take Fultz over Tatum
-Sixers trade Mikael Bridges for a guy who isn’t even in the league anymore
- Sixers choose Tobias Harris max deal and Ben Simmons over Jimmy Butler
- Sixers have no GM because Colangelo Jr is a child with a burner account and had to be fired for embarrassing the franchise

All of this is a result of Adam Silver meddling. And why was he meddling? Because Joel Embiid was hurt and didn’t play most of his first three seasons in the NBA. They stepped in and the condition was already fixed.

No, they got punished for ''saying the quiet part out loud'' and giving it a name.
And that’s a busted standard and the epitome of hypocrisy. It’s bush league

Yep. That is how the game is played though. Back when Mitch Kupchak was the Lakers GM, folks kept wondering why the Lakers were having trouble even meeting with top FA's, let alone sign any.

It came out after he and Short Buss were sent packing, that Mitch insisted on sticking to the rules and wouldn't contact anyone before midnight on FA day. So every year, when FA started, they were already behind everyone else in bidding for top FAs.

You don't know that Hinke makes the right call on all of those decisions. We are talking about the guy that brought in Noel, MCW, and Okafor after all. Maybe his Embiid pick was the fluke.

the TEAM doesn't want him to play.

They dont want him tearing an acl so they can still try to trade him.

He wants to play. But gets that this is his only way out of town without taking a buyout.
This.

I don’t need to know shit outside of the fact that the Sixers organization couldn’t engage in self-determination. That’s unjust. That’s not right. Find me another scenario where a league office in a sport essentially removed a GM, told the franchise to hire an interim guy and the interim guy ends up hiring his fucking son?!?!? It’s unprecedented and it’s ass and it was done because the Sixers do what many before them have done and many are still doing with not even a slap on the wrist. There’s no argument you could ever provide to justify that.

I think the 1st three are dubious claims.

4,5, 6 are all legitimate points though.

Every single one listed is a Colangelo move.

Yes. But assuming that Hinkie or someone else would have taken Ingram instead of Simmons or Tatum instead of Fulz is highly dubious. First off, the Celtics were always going for Tatum. And Fulz made more sense for the Sixers at the time, especially since no one knew what Simmons would be.

I’m not assuming that. I’m looking at a failed move based on an assessment by the person who made the move which is Colangelo. It doesn’t matter what anyone else would have done because they weren’t in that role. The man who was in that role should never have been there in the first place.

Well that wasn't what you said. You said that Adam Silver was the reason we took Simmons and Fulz.

It is what I said over a multitude of posts. If you want to play semantics on a message board go tag DH

Not only that…

Simmons over Ingram WAS the right pick.

The mistake was not trading him 2 years ago.

What's not speculation is that Colangelo largely fucked up trying to cash in on the draft assets Hinke had amassed.

Was it? If Simmons as a pick was better researched that pick should have been Ingram.

One post. You were pretty explicit. I responded and said I agreed with you on 3 of the items you listed and said that it was dubious to make the claim on the 1st 4.

Not sure why you are being bitchy about this.

There was essentially no debate that Simmons was the right choice at the time. That he chose to refuse to improve his game doesn't change that.

The Sixers should have traded Simmons and kept Butler. Of course that is much easier said than done.
