1-21 start is a problem. You can't expect the commissioner to ignore obvious tanking while your #3 overall pick continues to sit after already missing a year.

Hinkie isn't without blame; he drafted Okafor. Without Embiid's injury concerns, he goes #1 to Cleveland and all of this is moot.

No, it was stupid and it was an overreach.

You react to tanking after it is over? How does that help anybody?

They didn’t force Hinkie out until the 6ers were ready to start winning. And the only reason the 6er tanked for so long was because they whiffed on their first few picks.

I’m not blaiming Wall, I’m saying this should not be allowed to happen. It’s simple, you have a contract you play.

Would love to hear your thoughts on teams telling players to stay away? They should be held to the same standard

Colangelo was hired after the 1-21 start. Hinke was gone before the end of the season that only resulted in a total of 10 wins. Ready to start winning? They won a whopping 28 the next season.

Whiffed on their first few picks? Embiid, Okafor, and Simmons?

Embiid was not their first high lotto pick.

So you're going all the way back to 2010 and Evan Turner? Or are you counting #11 as high?
The Process started with the failure of the Andrew Bynum signing. Sixers blew it up and traded Andre Iguodala, Andre Miller, and Drue Holiday. That night they drafted Nerlens Noel and Michael Carter Williams and The Process began.

If bowling didn’t exist, the process might never have happened…

Technically, Noel was part of the Jrue trade. I didn't hear "process" until Embiid was sitting out complete seasons. The Process is just tanking rebranded, and to blatantly call that your strategy is going to get the commissioner's office coming down on your team, like it or not. Just like when the Wolves had a handshake deal with Joe Smith; that shit happens all the time, but you can't let it be public knowledge.

It may not have been labeled that yet, but it was clear that the process started with the trades mentioned above.

Why have the Sixers been the only franchise that’s been attacked for tanking when lots of franchises have utilized this rebuilding technique?

Yeah the Jrue trade really kickstarted it.

It was 100% the wrong draft to start a rebuild on lol.

I believe they passed on Giannis twice during the process

because they're the only ones who brazenly and openly admitted it.

at least the spurs lied about David Robinson to tank for duncan lol

That’s about the dumbest reason I’ve ever heard.
- You can do this thing we deem to be a problem but dammit if you actually confirm that’s what you’re doing.

I mean, see the Brian Flores thing now.

Why is that a big deal?

Because they openly said we want to lose games.

It’s just a ridiculous standard. Is there any doubt OKC is tanking right now? They have to give more money to their existing shit roster just to reach the salary floor. How about the Pistons? How about the Magic?

It's similar to what happens during FA. Teams aren't supposed to have contact with players before midnight on the day FA starts, yet multiple deals are in place by 12:05am.

When the Lakers signed Lebron, does anyone really believe that Magic was sitting in his car in Lebrons driveway at 11:30 waiting for it to be midnight? When PG went to the Thunder, Russell Westbrook was having a party with live music and PG was the guest of honor.

Outside of fans, none of those teams are admitting anything and none of them have given it a name.

All 3 will have over twice as many wins as that Sixers team had. Just last week the Thunder went into Denver and won.

So they got punished because they were better at attaining the goal?
