Oh, I agree.Do I believe Shams or this kid? hmmm
Just thought it was an interesting find.
Neubeck used to have ties to Liberty Ballers, the 76ers SB Nation site, which is pretty decent.

In full disclosure, this poster was tossing around Simmons for all of the TWolves young trash like Beasley and now the guy is mocking Simmons value when he was the centerpiece of a deal that brings back an All NBA guy and former MVPWhat is absurd is that thinking going scorched earth on Simmons wasn't going to affect his trade value. This trade if done before that playoff game and your city and organization throwing Simmons under the bus would be laughed at.

You got the wrong guy. Check your gossip. In full disclosure, this poster was tossing around Simmons for all of the TWolves young trash like Beasley and now the guy is mocking Simmons value when he was the centerpiece of a deal that brings back an All NBA guy and former MVP
Sure, if the '6ers win a title this year... this trade would have been a rousing success. No doubt.I just find these claims absurd.
If the Sixers win a title this year, this was a huge win for the Sixers. If they never win one with Embiid it is a huge failure.
Same applies with the Nets.
When it is all said and done the Nets didn't want to make this trade. Harden forced the issue.
The Sixers didn't want to give up Curry but that was the price to get Harden now and have a chance at a title this year. I don't think there is much decision there.

I don't see that happening, though. In a 7 game series...
And that's just the Eastern Conference.
- Milwaukee is likely a better team
- Miami is well-coached, veteran and tough-as-nails... let's call it a push
- If the Nets come together (a significant 'if'), they're arguably the best team in basketball
- Philly would likely be favored over any of Chicago, Toronto or Boston... but these teams are a better caliber of playoff fodder and (honestly) I wouldn't be shocked to see any of them pull an upset over the '6ers
- Cleveland is young and probably not ready for the bigtime in the playoffs, but they're a tough team too
To be honest, I like the Nets odds better both short and long term.
You’re right. It was @MebertYou got the wrong guy. Check your gossip.
And they need good answers on the role players. Thybulle to shoot better. Isaiah Joe to give them something. Danny Green to find his shot again. And Tobias Harris to find a way to still get 20 on 12-25 shots.Well we will need to see how the season plays out.
The Sixers were a flawed team that probably would be in 1st right now if Embiid didn't get Covid. Now Embiid has is first true superstar to play with. I think the Sixers are more than capable of winning a title on the backs of Embiid and Harden.

I hope he gets more comfortable pulling the trigger on the 3 ball with Curry being gone.Hopefully Harden's gravity will lead to Toby having more open looks.
I am absolutely fascinated by how you read my take on Simmons to the Wolves. I fully admit that I thought his trade value was lower than it ended up being, but you have to admit that before all this shit Simmons would have gone for a LOT more. You’re right. It was @Mebert
Minny has been tied to literally every trade and contract this offseason. I have not seen a single move that did not have a follow up article of "Timberwolves had been interested".
As far as this one the overall trade, the thought is a third team is needed. Beasley and firsts to Philly. Third team to take Russell, and what ever that value is also to 6ers. Wolves get Simmons. I put it as likely as the other 85 moves they "explored"
I agree, nobody should want Russell, I just dream of the day he is gone. I think Beverly/Beasley and some combination of McDaniels or future picks could get it done. That allows the 76ers to retain at least some of the perimeter D and add 2 to 3 good 3 point shooters to unclog the paint for Embiid.
I would rather give up future picks than McDaniels myself.
I greatly over-estimated how dumb the Kings are. If they had been willing to let him go for Sabonis, what could the 76ers have gotten for Simmons there?Haliburton is probably the only untouchable on that team.
I fully admit that I thought his trade value was lower than it ended up being, but you have to admit that before all this shit Simmons would have gone for a LOT more.
People saying that the 76ers will “regret trading Ben Simmons” seems to forget that he:
-Was repeatedly fouled in the playoffs specifically because he can’t shoot
-Missed a wide open dunk in a crucial playoff game
-Literally had to call timeout every possession at the end of close games to put someone in who was a threat to score.
-Took no accountability for getting better
KD eviscerates his teammates on the regular. Let's see how that meshes with Ben's fragile ego.
you will never admit to the stupid statements you have made throughout this thread.
2020 Harden was when people thought he was still the MVP James Harden. Harden right now is a version who scores far less efficiently than ever before, has forced the trade of players he did not like, and demanded a trade off of a team in 2 consecutive years. Harden value has never been lower than right now, and 76ers had to toss in a lot of sweeteners for it to happen. They gave up Simmons, picks, and key role players to take back less value than Morey was demanding from other teams at the start. But the thing is, Simmons' value ultimately really WASN'T much lower than what it was in in 2020. They tried to trade him for Simmons in November of 2020. And the deal was very similar to what the Nets took. Swap Curry with Thybulle.
You realize Morey tried to trade Simmons for Harden a year earlier right? You don't appear to know what you are talking about.
The big mistake Philly made, other than drafting Ben Simmons in the first place, was not trading him sooner. They knew what he was.
