Well trading Simmons, Thybulle and a pick for Warren, Levert and Lamb isn't going to quell his concerns. It would just exacerbate them.

I agree. But that doesn't answer the question.

Simmons is a poor fit on the Lakers anyway. Is he going to back up Lebron/AD at forward? He certainly isn't going to help space the floor, which makes him a tough sell to most teams in the league. He needs to take a Draymond role on a team loaded with perimeter shooting.

I'd suggest the Knicks, but I bet he wants a lower key city. Portland still seems like the right answer for me. Simmons/Green for CJ/Covington/pick?

And yet, you still focused on the Lakers after the conversation had already moved on.

You are so hung up on your perception that you completely miss the point.

It is a horrible return for the 6ers.

At least give Grant to the 6ers (which was why I brought up the Lakers in the first place) and hang a bad contract on the Lakers along with Simmons.

Then maybe it would be worth some discussion.

Isn’t McCollum hurt? And Covington is trash. We’ve seen that before. One of the most over rated defenders in the league. He can’t body anybody up. He cheats passing no lanes and for some reason analytics guys who love deflections and don’t watch games love the dude.

McCollum is supposedly ready to come back.

McCollum and Powell could be interesting.

Green isn't exactly lighting it up this year either. I was looking to better fill out the roster, Green for Covington, in terms of size on the wing with moving CJ for Simmons.

Sixers aren't going to load up on a Simmons trade, need to focus on a key (available) player and picks.

Current rumors are that the Kings are rethinking what they are willing to deal.

IMO, they remain the best option for the Sixers. Some combination of Barnes, Haliburton, Hield makes a lot of sense to me.

Haliburton is probably the only untouchable on that team.

Maybe. Who knows really?

If the Kings want to move Fox, the Sixers may see him as redundant to Maxey and look for a 3 way trade.
