Not sure who that guy is that Tweeted that but I hope he succeeds for the Bears. And think he can help Caleb, although the QB coach and OC will be working a lot closer with Caleb.

The guy that said that in the Lions organization could be wrong but Johnson and McDaniels are a little similar as far as
brilliant OC's who are a bit introverted. Just glad the Raiders didn't hire him. I would prefer an exp HC.
Never seemed introverted in all the Lions games I watched. Mcdaniels constant HC failures are because of ego. Both times he jettisoned talent because his system was all you needed. I would be shocked if Johnson was anything like that.

Something I found interesting was that when Ben Johnson was hired he stated one of the reasons he wanted the Bears is because it was a family like atmosphere. The Bears have been ridiculed in the past about being a "nice place like a Mom and Pop shop." I always thought that was a good thing personally and it seems to have paid off. The only thing that was missing was money.

On another note, I think the "Sell the team" chants made a big mark on pushing our ownership. *high fives all around for late game home game Bears fans*

Some chatter about DJ Moore's expressions/body language during the presser. Not sure if that's just DJ or what, or if people are reading WAY too much into it... I mean, I can see shifting in my seat when a guy is basically saying, "Get ready to work your a$$ off!, etc...". DJ has been around the block a few times, so maybe (hopefully) its just a, "Heard this all before.", kinda thing?

Eh, probably just folks digging up something to complain about.

DJ Moore's body language discussion is starting to enter Smokin' Jay levels of ridiculous.

DJ has never been a 'rah-rah, let's go get 'em kids' type of player. And if anyone had a reason to have a bit of a 'tude last season, it was he. I'm more than willing to cut him some slack going into this season now that we have an offense-oriented coach running the show. I'll agree if he still is showing some moping thruout this year, then maybe we have a problem on our hands.

From Jay Galzer on X:

The @chicagobears made big news this week when they hired their new head coach this week in Ben Johnson. But they also have had an innovative hire on staff that most don’t know about, a retired US Army Lt Colonel named Andy Riise, who serves as the Bears Mental Performance and Leadership Coordinator.
Since much of sports performance truly comes down to the 6 inches between our ears my hope is that more teams begin to build mental health and performance STAFFS.

Regardless of how all these coaching hires turn out. The Bears strangely came out of this round looking like one of the more functional franchises.

Hmm... I'll say this. Over the course of my fandom, we often do quite a solid job of giving off that appearance during hiring processes and even during the off-season. The Bears put on a really good "show" when it comes to going to work on a "mess" of a situation. After each and every disaster result to a season - they do tend to provide some sense of calm and stability in the aftermath. Taking accountability, demonstrating that the necessary steps are being taken to "do the right thing NOW".

The issue has been that (typically) we choose the wrong guy/guys to spear head the change. Whether that's a GM, HC, OC, or even a kicker following the double doink fiasco. Not that the 2019 season was by any stretch Eddy Piniero's fault. More so, that we learned the problem was actually Mitch/Nagy. Which, sort of goes to my point. The moves simply prove over time to be off the mark.

Time will tell whether or not Ben is the answer. I'll give them this much - they got "THE GUY". I can't blame them for that. Zero complaints here so far on the 2025 off-season. We'll just have to wait and see what's around the corner. Maybe THIS is REALLY IT!? I don't know. I just know that I am SOOOO TIRED of this.

Heard on the net a short while ago that Flus is set to be the Cowboys next DC. Haven't seen anything in writing to confirm this tho.

Looks like three more hires to the Bears coaching staff. Ben's not wasting any time and he's nabbing some quality talent:

Dennis Allen is our new DC. Great hire Ben!!!
Not yet, but probably. I heard Dennis Allen got Al Harris. Al Harris sounds like a really good coach. So does Randle el. This coaching staff is looking like it is going to be very good. We’re going to be bleeding coaches after a year or two.

until he proves otherwise, I am in total belief that he will be another who falls prey to this franchise of losers. Lovie might be the greatest coach ever with what he accomplished in this shit show of an organization. Fuck that old rich bitch and her children.
