At least Dennis Allen has a base that is 4-3. I just dont want to see someone changing back to a 3-4 and not having the right personnel to run it. We had wasted seasons with Fangio and his unwillingness to use the players on the roster to their strengths.

I also hope to read it is Johnsons choice, not having people hired for him.

Fangio literally transformed the defense into a top unit.

What wasted years? The year with Christian Jones, Antrel Rolle, and Shea McClellin leading the way? Yeah we really fumbled that season away.

I don't want to take it there either but Allen is the kind of playcaller we need on defense. The defense still needs upgrades to stop the run and rush the passer better for sure....might need a new safety that can handle playing single high because Allen is gonna call that a lot. But he's aggressive and comes after QBs.

Dennis Allen will not just rush 4 all day and let Jordan Love sit in a cozy pocket. The Bears will blitz from every direction. Allen is gonna love Kyler Gordon. And Tyrique Stevenson might want to book a ticket out of town. There's no loafing in a DA defense.

I think the Stevenson stuff is overblown. If he doesn't have the Hali Mary fuckup, nobody would be saying anything. I think the kid is still a great player. I don't think he's going anywhere.

I haven’t really predicted the playoffs for a long time. I thought they had a sliver of a chance this year, but I thought they’d finish around .500. I underestimated how terrible our coaches were. I am calling it now. Next year, we will be in the playoffs. I’m not about to troll other teams boards because we’re awesome, but we’re about to be awesome. If we get Dennis Allen, we got good guys leading both sides of the ball.

The OLine will be much different next year. It won’t be the best in the league, but it won’t be the worst. If it is the worst again, I think we still contend for a playoff spot.

I was critical of him before the Hail Mary. Soft coverage and no aggression.

He might stay but he better learn to blanket receivers and play the ball at the point of attack or Allen will sit him.

Allen plays a lot of single high man and over coverage. Requires physical CBs that engage at the line and hand fight receivers. Tyrique has never shown to be that guy.
