A lot of rumors the Bears will double dip into the Saints pot and Darren Rizzi will be the ST coach.

News broke on here at 2:38 and I just seen the news......damn presidential bullshit.......

Now let’s see if it works out like we hope. I felt like he was the best guy for Caleb. We will see if he’s up to the task, but I’m excited

It was rumored that Hank Fraley was his choice for OC, that would be a big step on correcting the oline.

Very pleased with the decision! Beats some unknown Canadian Football "genious". Now, Nagy aside, a proven young offensively talented player caller head coach... I'm more than willing to see the Bears give it a go!

I think the Stevenson stuff is overblown. If he doesn't have the Hali Mary fuckup, nobody would be saying anything. I think the kid is still a great player. I don't think he's going anywhere.
alot of similarities with Roquan. Great defender, terrible at alot of other things. Stevenson might not be going anywhere this season, but no way he gets his 20 million from us. Right thing would be to get something for him before he leaves for nothing.

A lot of similarities to Roquan? That's a pretty big stretch. But that's kind of your thing so I guess you do you.

Tyrique is absolutely not a "great" defender. At best he's average for the NFL.

Fraley might also have an offer to go to Seattle to be OC. Which if he is looking to call plays and looking for a track to be a HC he would go that route instead.

He’s still young. If we get Dennis Allen, Stevenson could take another jump into being a very good corner. I think part of his problem was coaching.

That stinks if it happens.

Dennis Allen is more important than Fraley because Johnson will be calling the plays. But it was kinda nice thinking we were bringing in an OC that made his mark with o-line work.

I tend to think dumb players continue to be dumb. A good coach will just cut ties when that continues. I wouldn't doubt he's moved this offseason before we even get to that point.

Is he officially hired? Y'all better hurry up before Aaron Glenn leaves Detroit....

Not officially that I know of, but the word is he's the guy Ben Johnson is targeting. It sounds like the Bears are opening up the wallets, so I think it's probable that it happens.

Not just the fans, but do you think the entire Bears organization is jazzed that Johnson is our new HC?

This is exactly where we wanted to be.

Ditto, bro.

I sincerely believe that Ben Johnson is going to be the next big time offensive head coach. People say offensive masterminds don’t always work out, and while I would agree with that statement, I don’t think there’s been an offensive coordinator with this kind of resume that failed. Ben Johnson wasn’t under someone like Andy Reid and he doesn’t have a player like Peyton manning. He worked for a defensive head coach and took Goff, a throw in from the Stafford trade, and turned him into an mvp candidate.

Good point. What should be interesting in the coming offseason is will Johnson have an inpact in the Bears acquiring any free agents or perhaps even more so, what influence he'll have in the draft.

Johnson better be bringing a good QB coach and OC with him.

The HC handles a lot more things than calling plays. It's why a lot of first time OC's and DC's fail. Like Eberflus did.
