Game Thread: Bears - Saints Wildcard Playoff Game 1-10-21

Might as well get this started. Hell, we get so few playoff games I want to milk it for what it is worth.

New Orleans is statistically a top 5 defense, so all signs point to us struggling mightily to score.

Not really sure what to think, but I know this: It's a huge game for both Nagy and Trubisky. It could be a death toll or a phoenix reborn type deal for their careers.

Any word on Roquan or Mooney? We really need everything we can throw at these guys.

I'm gonna be sitting my fatass on the couch eating wings and nacho chips (with that horrible Tostitos cheese dip which is so bad...and bad for you...but for whatever reason I love it)...

As we know, playoff games are a rare occurrence for us Bears fans...Yeah, high likelihood that we get demolished...but I'm gonna prep and enjoy it just the same as if we didn't...because we may not see another for who knows how long...

It's going to be really hard giving a shit about this game. And yes, an 8-8 record does have that slipping in thru the back door feel about making the playoffs. But then again, look at the NFCLeast.

If we could have beaten Green Bay, Its a whole different story. I will save some yard work, so when the game makes me want to throw the remote through my TV, I will just go work in the yard for a while.

As shocking as this sounds, I think we have a chance. I think we match up pretty well. Their D is excellent against the run so don't expect much from Monty though. This is all on Trubisky.

Packers shredded Woods...Roquan being out gives me little hope. I don't think we can cover that hole...Well, unless we have dominant-type pass rush...but let's be honest...We've been waiting for that all year...

The Bears were 1st in the league defensively, after the first 8 games, in redzone percentage and 3rd down percentage.

They are 31st in those categories over the last 8.
