Very true but not much we can do about it and of course these young guys playing are trying to prove themselves. So we just have to make the best of it. Just trying to be positive in this kick in the gut season.

Bonilla has some good stuff too. He needs to polish his pitches a little, but he'll definitely get a look in ST.

What a bunch of chokers. Seattle finally gets a well pitched game and they lose 1-0. Talk about handing it to Oakland and KC. They really blew that opportunity.

Bonilla has some good stuff too. He needs to polish his pitches a little, but he'll definitely get a look in ST.

I think some of these guys like Martinez, Tepesch and Bonilla who should still be in the minor leagues are looking decent this last month or so. Not trying to start something and I agree we still need to pick up a starter or two but I may like one of these guys over Lewis and I would not have said that a month or so ago.

I agree with you. I've said recently that I'm not sure Colby will be back. I think he's done enough to get a spot in somebody's rotation, but JD's comment made me think it won't be ours.

I too like his stuff. But he needs time in minors for control purposes it seems to me.

The thing (s) about Colby being in the # 5 spot is (1) he won't cost much, so we could let him go without wrecking the payroll, (2) He's actually pitched pretty well over the past month and if he can do this at the start of next season rather than Sept, he'll eat innings, (3) He's a bulldog and would be a good presence with our younger pitchers.
