Well, yeah, but that kid belongs in the majors if he's got that much late movement.why did that seem staged to me? I mean the bat breaking at the end looked like they were trying to do a reenactment..
Regardless you don't do that to an umpire, even-though it was a ball but it's where it crosses the plate not where the catcher catches it

Looks staged because the bat-breaking and the strike call didn't happen at the same time. Umpire doesn't ring the batter up, just calls a bad strike.
Maybe the bat-breaking happened in the prior AB, and he rose a stink about the call in his next AB. I'm guessing that is the case. Umpire wasn't happy about dudebro breaking his bat, and decided to pay him back with a bad strike call.
Generic "strike" call on that pitch. Plus, ump took his mask off to run the guy. He has his mask on in the frame where kid broke his bat. Ump wouldn't have put his mask back on if it was strike three, out three.no.. I think the umpire just got fouled by the movement of the ball. I am thinking the breaking of the bat was after that AB where he was called for a strike and then thrown out
