The 2-run jack by Manny was awesome ... but I hope he doesn't do anything, this series, to piss off any A's fans for all of the booing he is getting. The last thing he needs is to come off like a punk and start some new :ss: to tarnish his rep.

well zach owned the first 2 batters . man that donaldson pitch should have went change up . donaldson is a clown !!man can't make a good throw to 2nd or 1st . i'm getting tired of our guys getting hit and nothing !

I remember a time...seems like a far way away now but i remember when we had a 117 game win streak when we had a lead after 7...now it seems were blowing 1 every other week...and with brittons blown saves theyve been when he has had a multiple run lead...the 1-run leads he comes in and is absolutely filthy...but when he comes in with a 2-run lead it seems his pitches arent down theyre up...altho last night cespedes hit the ball 5 ft and then a broken bat single... britton shoulda stepped off after the broken bat single and the catcher should have came out...

Hell evrry time we get 2 consecutive hits the opposing pitching coach is coming out every time

I know that 90% is just an expression... but I'd like to point out that even Mariano Rivera could only achieve a career save percentage of 89%. For comparison, the figures are 81% for Jim Johnson (including 2014), 65% for Tommy Hunter, and 83% for Zach Britton... so I'd write this off as "one bad outing" for now since Britton is arguably still the best choice for the closer on this team if you have to pick one.

[That being said... I've said this before, and I'll say it again: Buck needs to consider always having someone warm up in the bullpen in late innings, if not throughout the game... so that a quick hook can be applied when the current pitcher is having a bad day.]

With O' Day fully rested I would definately look to use him if he's available in the 9th. Not trying to pile on Britton but DOD seems like he might be better against these scrappy A's.
