The Badgers desperately needed that win Saturday to get them on the good side of the bubble, but there's still a lot of work to be done.

Two of their next three games are @ Michigan State and @ Iowa. If the Badgers lose both of those games, they're right back on the outside looking in. They very likely NEED to at least split those two and sweep the remaining three unranked opponents (Illinois, Michigan, @ Minnesota) to solidify their spot in the tourney.

I strongly disagree that an 11-7 B1G Badgers team wouldn't be solidly in. Yes, there are some bad losses, but the quality wins outweigh them. The Badgers, for the first time all season, are in a good place for the tourney. If they go 3-0 in the games they should win, they should be in. And I like their odds.

Maryland can't shoot so they are susceptible to ipsets. Winning at MSU and Iowa will be tough. Even the home win over MSU was pretty fluke and Iowa is a tough matchup for Wisconsin because of the length, the press and the shooters but anything is possible

guy's freaking on green cheese...
MSU's lost 5 games this year...Iowa blew us out both times we played...the other three though? - haha, come on.

@ WIS 77 - MSU 76
vs NEB 72 - MSU 71
@ PUR 82 - MSU 81

11-7 Wisconsin is in without a doubt. Even 10-8 may do it as long as they don't suffer anymore bad losses

He's just excited. The Badgers are playing very well but frankly MSU gifted them the win in Madison so it's probable that Wisconsin loses that one. The road game the Badgers have the best shot in is at Purdue because Purdue struggles to shoot frequently. I'd honestly be shocked if Wisconsin doesn't lose at least 2 more but making the tourney in a year you were 9-9 is pretty fucking good

Agreed, the magic number to get in the tournament for the BIG 10 is 10 wins vs BIG opponents and The Badgers need just two more wins. This isn't my opinion this is history.

There have been B1G teams to get to 10 conference wins and not get into the NCAAT.

Wusconsin is listed as having a 10% chance of winning at MSU and a 13% chance of winning at Iowa. Going to be tough to win either but if they can finish 3-3 the rest of the way they'll be fine. Biggest game for them is really Michigan in Madison. That's a swing game. Badgers can afford losses at MSU, at Iowa and at Purdue as long as they win the other 3

where do you find these numbers? They could be useful in pickems...uh, no I didn't say that. They would NOT be useful, as I'll pick who I determine the winner should be...so, but, I'd still be interested to know where those numbers can be found, please. :thumb:

Good W for the Badgers. Glad they beat those dicks.

Now can we all agree UMD while a good team is a touch overrated, especially at home. How many close calls have they had at that stupid X center this year?? Jesus Christ they almost lost to Penn State there.

There have been B1G teams to get to 10 conference wins and not get into the NCAAT.

2015 Indiana made it as the last team in for the BIG ten as a 9 seed and only won 9 BIG reg season games
2014 Iowa won 9 in the reg season was the last team to make it and was a 11 seed
2013 Minn last to make it won 8 in reg season and was an 11 seed
2012 Purdue last in won 10 reg 10 seed
2011 Penn St. won 9 and a 10 seed

So over the last five years the last team in had won 8-10 BIG wins with an avg about 9 and an average of 19 total wins.

I've used them almost exclusively in doing my tournament picks the last few years. Done very well for myself

Did any of you happen to watch Wisconsin vs. Maryland. I am still fucked off at that officiating crew for calling a double technical when Diamond Stone pushed a Badger player's head hard onto the floor on purpose. Stone is a recruit from Wisconsin who chose Maryland. I was always wishing him well until I saw him do that. The refs sure fucked that call up big time. Stone should have been kicked out of the game. I'm still pissed they didn't call a flagrant two foul and eject him from the game.

it was a punk move, a thug move, that -hopefully- will haunt him for a long time...
I wish nothing but nothing for shitheads like that.
