Well I quit watching the game after the errors and the manager making, what I think, were bad decisions regarding relievers and when he pulls pitchers. Was a pretty sad game to watch and had other things to do, but I see we got nailed once again. Pretty hard to get much done when we're up against top pitching. Too bad we don't have "top pitching" so we could do to other teams the same thing Houston does to us.And a mile high ball drops in for a run...nice.
I knew defense would be an issue on this team almost as much as the rotation. So that portion doesn’t surprise me.We need runs, but we also need to make the plays that are makable for a lack of a better word.
Well the M's got outscored 21-6 this series. If Springer doesn't slip on the awesome new turf they installed in the Monday game its probably a clean sweep.
I don't care about the Astros rotation. This isn't Pedro and Clemens they are facing. Other teams hit them. With the talent that this offense supposedly has, it shouldn't be too much to ask to score 3 or 4 runs in two of these games.
Yeah the Mariners offense was putrid this series. Houston's rotation is pretty good though. Their #5, Morton, would be the M's #2. Hell, McHugh would be the M's #2 and the Astros don't even have room for him in their rotation.
I don't necessarily think the playoffs are out of the question, WS no chance but it the Astros just showed how good they are when they are on.
I don't think playoffs are out of the question either. But the offense will need to pick up the pitching a lot. I think we all know this offense has the potential to be pretty potent but we have a lot of hot/cold hitters... They really just need to get guys on base and get a fucking base hit once in a while we don't need the long ball every fucking swing!!! make contact get a hit move runners around. I love watching Dee he is fun to watch, when he is on base it feels like he can score every time then you watch the lineup go full retard when guys are on base.. frustrating to watch.I don't necessarily think the playoffs are out of the question, WS no chance but it the Astros just showed how good they are when they are on.
