Damn... Yanda was terrific. I'd say he's a HOF player but then I remember that Alan Faneca isn't even in the HOF, so clearly a guard isn't going to get a fair shake. Regardless, one of the best at his position for a long, long time.

They've been two of the most consistent franchisees in the league.

No team in the league does dysfunction like my team. Hey at least they're good at something right?

-2 seasons above .500 ('02 & '07)
-one playoff appearance ('02)
-19 losing seasons
-16 seasons with 10 or more losses
-30 starting QB's <------HOLY SHIT!
-12 head coaches

And since Jimmy Haslam's first full year as owner in 2013 the team is 28-83-1 (25%).

Have to wonder if they got this move right.

Browns, TE Austin Hooper agree to terms on deal

Bought the biggest fish in a small pond...good, but not a top of the league type talent. Njoku is a better talent, but seems to be having trouble staying on the field.

I don't trust the vast majority of their decisions when it comes to players. But that's nothing new. Frustrating being a fan of such an inept organization.

With a lot of FA money to spend it's not the worst deal they could make, I just thought they might spend it on another position...like LT. I assume that means they will be investing a high pick on LT now.

I agree with what you said about a LT. They better have some kinda plan to upgrade.

They could just put in their O-line coach... He'd make a helluva hurdle if he just fell over every snap.

Ravens bolstered their defensive front with DE Calais Campbell & DT Michael Brockers. The rich get richer. Going to be the team to beat in the AFCN.

Luckily for them their QB is on a rookie contract.

IMO, they overpaid for both of these players, but as you mentioned, with Jackson on a rookie deal, they can afford to do over pay....beside, right now whatever move they make turns out pretty good so we can expect them to be a force in the DIV again.

Cincinnati Bengals' 2020 NFL free-agent signings: Alexander latest defensive signing

The Bengals have been more active than normal in free agency and by most accounts have done pretty well. The acquisition of DJ Reader is particularly appealing. Dealing with a healthy Reader and Atkins will be difficult for any offensive line. They also bolstered their secondary by acquiring two corners from Minnesota. These moves don't immediately help with the defense's major issues - Bad linebacker play and inability to create turnovers..... But, better line and secondary play may help with these weaknesses.

The offensive line gets another interesting piece.... There are a number of intriguing players on the line - Some talent that could develop. But they need to hurry or Burrow's own development could go south.

We'll see if AJ has anything left. Probably smart to just leave him with the tag and make him show the league that he can still play. It sucks for him - He's been a model citizen, model teammate and the face of the franchise for almost a decade, but he also might have too much mileage to continue.

CIN... Good pickups for them. Waynes is a Kirkpatrick clone but should provide them some much needed depth back there. Alexander should start oppo WG3.

CLE... Damn they got Joseph!? That secondary is lookin stout this year.

BAL...the Ravens bolstered that DL. TheY got a 2nd rd pick from ATL for TE, Hayden Hurst giving them a pair of picks in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds for a total of 9 draft choices.

CIN...more active than usual...obviously addressing DEF. Still don't believe the tag on AJ was worth it, they should've traded him and used the pick this yr.

CLE...ton of transactions, but still no LT. Hooper is baffling to be honest...good player but I'm not sure if he's any better than Njoku. That said, the tandem could be lethal.

PIT...addressed every position except Hargrave...imo potentially the biggest impact FA in the DIV, Ebron.

Everybody in the DIV got better on paper.

Also, they felt safe trading Wormley away because they were so stacked on the DL.

Ravens suddenly looking a lot less fierce.

To trade him in DIV and to the Steelers no less...they felt very safe at DL....but it's the Ravens, they will plug in another DL big. Would they entertain Jernigan again?...seems like he's been around forever...only 27 y/o.

Heard they might look at Clowney.

If they could sink almost 20 million a year into him, I think that would be pretty cool for us.

That said, of course, that's not the same position.
